Booking
Booking, notice and changes
How a trip gets from a form or a phone call onto the schedule, how much warning helps, and what happens when the plan moves.
How do I book a ride with Executive Transportation?
Send the form on any page of this site or call the office. Give the date, the hour, a street pickup address, where the trip ends and how many are riding. A reservation coordinator quotes that trip by the hour, with the minimum stated up front, sends the figure to you in writing, and the vehicle is held once you agree to it.
Start on the booking page or call (217) 523-5466.
How much notice does a chauffeured trip need?
We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability. A coach or several vehicles for one event want about a week, because those are held rather than shuffled. Inside a day the phone is the only reliable way to find out what is free.
Ask what is open at (217) 523-5466.
Can I book a ride for somebody other than myself?
Yes, and a good share of our work arrives that way: assistants booking for executives, offices booking for visiting teams, families booking for a parent who is flying in. Put your own contact details on the request and the passenger name and number in the message, so both of you are reachable on the day.
See how offices do it on the executive chauffeur page.
Can I change or cancel a reservation after it is confirmed?
Yes. Call dispatch rather than sending an email, because a change or a cancellation counts from the moment dispatch confirms it back to you in writing. Canceling free of charge means more than 24 hours ahead for a sedan or SUV, 48 for a Sprinter, and 72 for a coach or a booking of two or more vehicles.
The windows are on the cancellation policy page.
Is payment taken when I request a ride online?
No. Nothing on this website charges a card, and the request form never asks for one. A reservation coordinator agrees on the payment method with you when the quote is confirmed, and the charges that apply to your trip are written on your confirmation. Card numbers themselves are handled by a payment provider.
The full terms are on the terms page.
Airports
Airports, arrivals and private flights
Most of what this fleet does is get somebody to a plane or away from one, and these five are the questions that come with that.
Which airports does Executive Transportation drive to?
Chicago O’Hare, Chicago Midway, St. Louis Lambert, Indianapolis and every regional field in between them, plus the general aviation airports the private flights use. Each one has a page of its own carrying the terminal, where your chauffeur meets you and what the drive is actually like.
Every field is listed on the airports hub.
Where does the chauffeur meet me when I land?
Inside, at baggage claim, with your name. Your chauffeur takes the luggage and walks you out to the vehicle, so you never wait outside an arrivals door or hunt for the right spot. Your confirmation says so for the field you are arriving at, and dispatch will text or call if you would rather have it in your hand.
Each airport page shows its own terminal and doors: start here.
What happens if my flight is delayed or lands early?
Put the flight number on the booking and the chauffeur has the airline and the terminal in front of them. If the time moves, call dispatch: the line is answered 24 hours a day and the desk that rescheduled you is the one that tells the chauffeur. Waiting time, if any applies, is set out on your confirmation.
Call dispatch at (217) 523-5466 the moment you know.
Do you collect passengers from private jets and charter flights?
Yes, and it is a routine part of the week. The vehicle goes to the general aviation ramp or the fixed base operator rather than the airline terminal, and a coordinator needs the FBO name, the tail number and the estimated landing time. We drive to the aircraft; we do not charter it.
See the private jet shuttle page.
Can you drive me from one airport to another?
Yes. Airport to airport runs are some of the most common long trips this fleet makes, usually because a connection broke or a flight moved to a different field. O’Hare to Midway, Lambert to O’Hare and Indianapolis to Champaign are all quoted the same way, by the hour for one vehicle and the whole run.
Vehicles and pricing
Vehicles, capacity and how a figure is reached
What is in the fleet, which one suits a given group, and why no page on this site prints a price list.
What vehicles does Executive Transportation run, and what does each one seat?
Six classes. An executive sedan takes 2 to 3 passengers, a luxury SUV 5 to 6, a Sprinter van 14, a stretch limousine 8 to 10, a limousine coach 25 to 30 and a shuttle coach 22 to 35. Each of the six goes out with a uniformed chauffeur at the wheel.
Each class has its own page on the fleet.
How is the price of a trip worked out?
A reservation coordinator quotes the vehicle and the chauffeur together by the hour for the trip you described, with the minimum number of hours stated up front, so the figure covers the whole vehicle rather than a seat in it. The hours a vehicle is held, the class of vehicle and the number of stops are what set it. No price is published, because no two itineraries are the same.
Describe the trip and read the figure: request a quote or call (217) 523-5466.
Can I rent one of your vehicles and drive it myself?
No. Every vehicle in this fleet goes out with a uniformed chauffeur, and there is no self-drive or unchauffeured hire of any class, sedan through coach. What you are hiring is the vehicle and the person driving it, which is also why one figure covers everybody riding in it.
See what a chauffeur does on the chauffeur service page.
Which vehicle should a group book, and will the luggage fit?
Send the headcount and the number of checked bags, because luggage fills a vehicle faster than people do. Four travelers with four large cases are usually an SUV rather than a sedan, and a party of ten with checked bags is a Sprinter van. A coordinator picks it if you would rather not.
Capacities are listed on the fleet page.
Is the vehicle shared with other passengers?
No. Every booking is private hire: the vehicle carries your party and goes where your itinerary says, with no other pickups on the way and no fixed route. The one exception, clearly marked on this site, is the Amtrak Thruway coach, a public bus service ticketed by Amtrak.

Corporate
Offices, invoices and recurring work
The questions that come from the person arranging travel for somebody else, or for thirty somebody elses.
Can our office book travel for people who are not in the office?
Yes, and that is how most corporate bookings reach us. The person arranging it gets the confirmation and the paperwork, the traveler gets the chauffeur details, and a coordinator works from whatever list you send, whether that is one executive or a manifest of twenty arriving over two days.
See the corporate airport transfers page.
Can you invoice a company and send receipts?
Yes. Tell a reservation coordinator that the trip goes on an invoice and how your accounts office needs it described, and receipts follow each completed trip. Purchase order numbers, cost centers and traveler names can all be carried through onto the paperwork if you say so at booking.
Ask the Springfield office on (217) 245-5466.
Can a chauffeur stay with us between meetings all day?
Yes. That is an hourly booking, sometimes called as directed: the vehicle and the chauffeur are yours for a block of hours and wait at each stop rather than being released and re-hailed. It suits a day of site visits, a legislative schedule or a client tour with four addresses on it.
See the hourly chauffeur page.
Do you run shuttle loops for conferences, hotels and plants?
Yes. A coach or a Sprinter can run a scheduled loop between a hotel and a venue, a parking lot and a plant gate, or an airport and a conference hotel, for a morning or for a week. A coordinator sizes it from your headcount and the interval you want between departures.
Company
The company itself
Who you are handing a family or an executive to, where the vehicles work from, and what we will and will not put in writing.
How long has Executive Transportation been in business?
Since April 2004. The company began with a single vehicle and grew into a fleet of sedans, SUVs, Sprinter vans and coaches, including the acquisition of Springfield Classic Limousine and a daily Amtrak Thruway contract. A dedicated reservations team reviews every itinerary.
The whole story is on the about page.
Where is Executive Transportation, and how far do you drive?
There are two Illinois offices, in Springfield and in Jacksonville, and vehicles work out of both. The driving reaches across Central Illinois and out to the airports and cities of Illinois, Missouri and Indiana, so a trip that starts at a village address can finish at an international terminal the same morning.
Both numbers and the offices are on the contact page.
Are your chauffeurs vetted, and is the company insured?
Chauffeurs drive in uniform, and driving records and backgrounds are checked before anybody carries a passenger. Many of them came out of police, fire or military careers. Executive Transportation is a commercial passenger carrier and carries the licensing and insurance that work requires, but no certificate number belongs on a web page.
Ask a coordinator for whatever documentation your office needs on file.
Do you operate the Amtrak Thruway bus in Central Illinois?
Yes. Executive Transportation is the operator listed on the Amtrak Thruway connection that runs Springfield to Peoria to Galesburg every day of the year, and on a Jacksonville to St. Louis to Carbondale route. Those seats are ticketed by Amtrak rather than by us, so buy them from Amtrak.
Charter a coach of your own through charter bus and group travel.
How do I leave a review, or tell you something went wrong?
Reviews go on the Google Business Profile, where sixteen riders have written so far and nine of them named their chauffeur. A problem is different: call the office rather than writing it up, because the desk that scheduled the trip is the only one that can still fix anything about it.
Read what riders wrote on the reviews page.

Three things that shorten the reply.
Name the airport or the venue
It decides where you are met, the doors and the margin a coordinator builds in.
Count the bags as well as the people
Luggage decides the vehicle class more often than headcount does.
Say if the return leg is wanted too
Quoted together, both legs stay on one confirmation and are easier to change.
