Marion, Illinois · Chauffeured airport transfers
Marion Airport (MWA) Car Service & Chauffeured Transportation
A small terminal with one door, and a chauffeur already standing at it.
Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois is the kind of field where the walk from the car to the counter takes a moment. Executive Transportation covers the part before that: a uniformed chauffeur at your address, the bags handled, and the same vehicle waiting when the jet from Chicago comes back.

Know the airport
What to know about Veterans Airport
Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois, code MWA, is a single-terminal field outside Marion with one commercial carrier and a busy general aviation ramp behind it. The airport calls itself the region’s sole primary commercial service airport, and what it lacks in size it returns in the time you do not spend inside it.
One terminal, one airline, jets to Chicago
The airport publishes daily service to Chicago O’Hare with American Airlines, in both directions, which is what most of the traffic through the building is. Schedules here change with the season and the carrier contract, so book from the airline’s current timetable rather than from memory.
Parking is free, and signed either way
Terminal parking costs nothing. Each area is marked TWO HOUR or LONG TERM, and the airport asks travelers leaving a car for more than two weeks to use LONG TERM and file their vehicle details first. Long-term spaces are reserved for airline and rental car customers.
The front of the terminal is for moving, not for waiting
The airport asks that no vehicle be left unattended in front of the terminal, which suits a chauffeured transfer: on the way out the chauffeur sets the bags down at the door and moves off, and on the way back you are met inside at baggage claim and walked out. Carts are inside if you want one.
A tower, jet fuel and a working GA ramp
This is a controlled field with a tower, and the fixed base operator sells both 100LL and Jet A. That combination is why so much of the traffic here is corporate: a charter can be on the ground, fueled and away again while an airline passenger is still finding the coffee.
Terminal, parking and general aviation details checked on the airport’s own site, veteransairport.com, on September 17, 2026. The older flymwa.com address is no longer the airport’s site.

Departures and arrivals at MWA
One front door does both jobs here. The difference is which end of the trip you are on.
Departures
Your door to the Marion terminal
- Give a coordinator the flightWhich airline, which flight number, what time it is scheduled to leave. With one terminal and one counter, that is the whole conversation.
- We work back from the scheduled departureSmall fields are forgiving, but the connection at the other end is not. We set the pickup so you are at the counter inside the airline’s own check-in window, with room for the drive.
- Bags handled at your addressThe chauffeur loads at the door. Golf clubs, sample cases and a week of luggage decide whether the vehicle is a sedan or an SUV, so say what is coming when you book.
- Set down at the terminal doorThe drop is at the front door of the terminal, a few steps from the counter. The chauffeur stays with the vehicle while the bags come out, because the airport does not allow an unattended car.
Arrivals
Veterans Airport baggage claim back to your door
- The inbound flight number holds the carThe flight number and the scheduled arrival hold the vehicle. If the inbound connection slips, call dispatch and the pickup moves with it.
- Your chauffeur is inside at baggage claimBaggage comes into the one terminal building, and your chauffeur is standing there with your name when it does. The cases are ours from the belt to the trunk.
- Walk out the front door togetherThe vehicle is at the terminal entrance, not circling a garage. On a field this size that means you are in the car within a minute of the carousel.
- Late arrivals still get metThe last inbound of the day can land well after dark. Dispatch is answered day and night, and the vehicle is booked against your flight rather than against the building’s hours.
Private jets and charter
Private jet and charter flights at Veterans Airport
A controlled field with Jet A on the ramp and an FBO that handles charter is a natural place for corporate aircraft, and plenty of the movements here never touch the airline counter. Executive Transportation meets those flights at the FBO rather than the terminal.
- 01
Pickup at the FBO door
Private and charter arrivals come off the general aviation side, and that is where the chauffeur waits. No terminal, no counter, no walk: out of the aircraft, into the car.
- 02
Luggage loaded plane-side
Where the operator and the ramp allow it, the bags go from aircraft to trunk without an indoor leg. Where they do not, the transfer happens at the FBO door a few steps away.
- 03
Crew to the hotel, passengers to the plant
Crew heading for a hotel and passengers heading for a plant visit can move on the same reservation, in one vehicle or two, without anybody waiting on the ramp.
- 04
A Sprinter for the delegation
A full aircraft of executives fits one Sprinter with room for hard cases. Bigger parties take a coach, and the quote covers the vehicle either way.

- Midwest AviationVeterans Airport of Southern Illinois, 10400 Terminal Drive, Marion, Illinois 62959The only fixed base operator the airport names. Published hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a call-out service on (618) 993-2764 for anything that lands outside them, which is worth telling us about when you book.
Tell us the tail number, the operator and the scheduled arrival at booking, and call dispatch if it moves. Arrivals outside the FBO’s published hours are worth flagging early. We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.

Why be driven
Four reasons to be driven to MWA
Parking here is free, so nobody is being driven to save a lot ticket. They are being driven because of what happens on either side of the flight.
One hourly figure, however many are riding
The vehicle and chauffeur are quoted by the hour, minimum stated up front, and a coordinator builds the hours with Route 13 in mind. Four colleagues traveling together ride on a single figure.
Your car is not sitting at the airport
Free parking still means a car left outside for a week, a walk to it in the dark, and a drive home at the end of a long day. A chauffeur returns you to your own door instead.
A quiet office at either end
The back seat is the last quiet office before a 6 a.m. departure, and the first one after a late landing. Most of our riders use it for both.
Uniformed chauffeurs since 2004
Executive Transportation has been running chauffeured airport work since 2004. The chauffeur arrives uniformed and early, and never leaves a vehicle unattended at the terminal, the way the airport asks.
We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.

Where our Marion runs start
Executive Transportation drives to Veterans Airport from across Illinois, in both directions, on one quote for the whole vehicle. These are the cities the Marion work comes from most, and each one has a page of its own.
Every figure below is a clear-road drive to the terminal. Book against the flight rather than the drive: we build the pickup backward from your departure, and the interstate stretches south run better than the two-lane sections on either side of them.
Calibrated clear-road figures. Treat them as the floor. We also collect from Jacksonville, Lincoln, Taylorville, Effingham, Mattoon and any address between them.
All six of these are quoted the same way, by the hour and for the whole vehicle.
Park or be driven
Park at MWA, or be driven to it
Parking here is genuinely free, so the question is not what the lot costs. It is what the car and the driving cost you on either side of the flight.
- Terminal parkingFreeEvery area at the terminal, whether it is signed TWO HOUR or LONG TERM. The airport charges nothing.
- Leaving a car longer2 weeksStays beyond two weeks go in LONG TERM with the vehicle registered first, and only for airline and rental car customers.
- Unattended at the front doorNot allowedDrop-off and pickup are fine, but the airport asks that no vehicle be left unattended out front.
A free space is still a car sitting outside for a week and a drive home at the end of a long day. See what a chauffeured transfer actually costs.

Book Marion with a uniformed chauffeur.

Airport to airport
Transfers between Marion and other airports
A regional field with one carrier means the alternative is often another airport altogether. Executive Transportation drives between them in one vehicle, with the luggage untouched.
Each card is the drive between Veterans Airport and the field named, in either direction. Book it with both flight numbers and both scheduled times, then call dispatch if one of them slips.
Clear-road figures. The two-lane sections are what move them, not the interstate.
One vehicle covers the pair of them, on one quote.

Marion questions
What people ask before booking an MWA car
The answers below use the airport’s own published parking, terminal and general aviation guidance, read on veteransairport.com in September 2026, plus our own calibrated drive times.
Where does the chauffeur meet you at Veterans Airport?
Executive Transportation meets arriving passengers inside at baggage claim, which on a single-building field is a few steps from the front door. Your chauffeur takes the luggage and walks you out to the vehicle, so nobody waits out front, which suits an airport that asks for no unattended vehicles at the terminal.
See how airport transportation works.
Is parking free at Marion airport?
Yes. The airport publishes free terminal parking, with each area signed either TWO HOUR or LONG TERM. Travelers leaving a car for more than two weeks are asked to use LONG TERM and register the vehicle first, and those spaces are authorized for airline and rental car customers only.
Request a Quote if you would rather not leave the car at all.
How far ahead should I book a car to MWA?
Executive Transportation prefers 72 hours’ notice for a Marion transfer and about a week when the party needs a coach. Call anytime: short-notice trips depend on what is available, and the early departures book out first. The flight, the headcount and the address are enough to hold a vehicle.
Call (217) 523-5466 or request a quote.
What if my flight into Marion is delayed?
Executive Transportation would rather hear it from you than guess, so call dispatch. The vehicle is held against the flight number and scheduled arrival you gave when booking rather than a screen we watch, so the call is what moves it. Dispatch answers day and night, including after the last inbound.
Call (217) 523-5466 to move a booked pickup.
Do you pick up from private jets and charter flights at Marion?
Executive Transportation drives the general aviation side of Veterans Airport as well as the terminal. We meet private, charter and corporate aircraft at the Midwest Aviation FBO door, load plane-side where the operator allows it, and carry crew and passengers on one booking. A Sprinter takes a full aircraft in one vehicle.
Send the tail number when you book the chauffeur.
Can you drive from Marion to St. Louis or Chicago instead?
Executive Transportation drives to the bigger fields as readily as to the regional one, and plenty of southern Illinois trips end at Lambert or O’Hare because the fare or the schedule is better. One vehicle, one chauffeur, and the bags stay where you put them the whole way.
See the airports we drive.
Which vehicle should a group book for MWA?
Executive Transportation runs executive sedans for two to three passengers, luxury SUVs for five to six, Sprinter vans for fourteen and coaches for parties up to thirty-five. Luggage usually settles it before headcount does, so tell a coordinator how many checked bags are coming as well.
