Memphis Airport (MEM) Car Service & Chauffeured Transportation

Prearranged, uniformed, and standing on the drive the airport keeps for exactly this.

Memphis asks that limousine work be arranged in advance, which suits the way we work anyway: one vehicle, one chauffeur, booked against your flight. Executive Transportation carries executives, crews, delegations and whole conference groups through MEM, including the private side of the field.

Know the airport

What to know about Memphis International

The airport’s own site now calls the field Frederick W. Smith International Airport, though the code is still MEM and most travelers still say Memphis International. One modernized concourse holds every airline gate, and everything on the ground happens on the commercial drives outside baggage claim. Private jet and charter arrivals never touch that building.

One concourse now holds every airline

The modernization moved every carrier into a single rebuilt concourse, with more daylight and more room than the layout it replaced, and gate numbers that all sit in one range. It means the walk from gate to baggage claim is short and predictable, whoever you flew.

Limousine work has to be arranged in advance

The airport states it plainly: service for luxury limousines must be prearranged and coordinated with the companies offering service to airport passengers, and limousines use the center commercial drive. There is no taxi stand to walk up to and no hailing a black car on arrival. Book it before you fly and the vehicle is already assigned.

The center commercial drive, in front of Concourse B baggage claim

That is the pickup point: taxis and limousines depart from the center commercial drive in front of the Concourse B baggage claim area. Rental cars are somewhere else entirely, one level below baggage claim in the Ground Transportation Center, and the city buses use the inner drive. Your chauffeur tells you which door to walk out of before you land.

The FBOs run their own shuttles

If you come off a private or charter aircraft, both fixed base operators run complimentary shuttles between their facilities and the terminal, which passengers meet at the baggage claim exits. Our chauffeurs collect at the FBO itself rather than sending you around on a shuttle.

Ground transportation, concourse and parking details checked on the airport’s own site, flymemphis.com, on September 17, 2026. Anything time sensitive is worth a second look before you fly.

Departures and arrivals at MEM

One concourse in, one commercial drive out. The booking is what makes both of them simple.

Departures

Your door to the Memphis terminal

  1. Give a coordinator the flightWhich airline, which flight, and what time it is meant to leave. With one concourse serving every airline, that is genuinely all we need to set the drop.
  2. Check-in time sets the pickup timeYour airline’s check-in window sets the terminal time, then we add the run and a cushion for the hour of day. You are told the pickup time when the booking is confirmed, not on the morning.
  3. Bags at the door, not at the trunkThe chauffeur handles the luggage at your address. A trade show crate or a week of checked bags means an SUV or a Sprinter, and a coordinator will say so when you book.
  4. Dropped at the terminal entranceDepartures are set down at the ticketing entrance, and the chauffeur stays with the vehicle while the bags come out. Then you walk to one checkpoint rather than choosing between three.

Arrivals

The commercial drive back to your door

  1. Send the flight number at bookingA booked MEM pickup is keyed to the flight number and the arrival time on the schedule. If either changes, call dispatch: somebody answers around the clock, and that call is what moves the car.
  2. Met inside at baggage claimBaggage claim sits below the concourse, and that is where your chauffeur is waiting, with your name, while the belt is still turning.
  3. The bags are ours from the beltYour chauffeur takes the luggage at the carousel and walks you out to the center commercial drive in front of the Concourse B baggage claim area, which is where the airport puts limousines.
  4. Large parties are walked to the coachYou never have to work out which exit to use. If the party is large, we stage the coach where the airport directs commercial vehicles and your chauffeur walks the whole group to it, bags and all.

Prearranged is the only way in. Memphis requires limousine service to be arranged ahead, so the booking call is not a formality here. Dispatch takes it around the clock at (217) 523-5466.

Private jets and charter

Private jet and charter flights at Memphis International

Memphis has a deep general aviation side, and the airport names two fixed base operators on its own pages. Executive Transportation drives to both of them, so a private, charter or corporate aircraft is met at the FBO door instead of the terminal drive.

  • 01

    Pickup at the FBO door

Both operators sit on Winchester Road, on the general aviation side of the field. Your chauffeur waits at the private terminal entrance, so none of the commercial drive rules apply and there is no shuttle to catch.

  • 02

    Luggage loaded plane-side

Where the operator and the ramp permit it, we load beside the aircraft. Where they do not, the bags move at the FBO door, which is still a matter of steps rather than corridors.

  • 03

Crew to the hotel, passengers to the meeting

Crews need a hotel and passengers need an office, often at the same minute. Both move on one reservation, in one vehicle or two, without anyone waiting for a car to come back around.

  • 04

    One Sprinter takes the aircraft

Fourteen seats, a stand-up aisle and space for hard cases cover everyone who stepped off. Larger groups move to a coach, and either way the quote covers the vehicle rather than the seat.

Why be driven

Four reasons to be driven to MEM

A prearranged vehicle takes the two worst moments out of a Memphis trip: the one where nobody knows which drive to stand on, and the one where the group splits across three cars.

One Memphis quote, one vehicle

The vehicle and chauffeur are quoted by the hour, with the minimum stated up front, and a coordinator builds the hours around Airways Boulevard traffic. A party of six shares one figure, not six seats.

No garage, no lot ticket, no shuttle

Nothing to pay on the way out and nothing to find on the way back. The chauffeur loads at your door and sets the bags down at the terminal entrance.

Answer the email, or shut your eyes

Back-seat time is working time for most of our riders. Take the call, read the file, or sleep before a first-wave departure.

Uniformed chauffeurs since 2004

This has been a chauffeur company since 2004, and airport work is most of what it does. Chauffeurs arrive uniformed and early, and they know which drive the airport wants them on.

The fleet

Fleet for this run

Memphis transfers are quoted by the hour for the whole vehicle, so the question is simply what your party and its luggage fit into. Headcount and bag count, and a coordinator answers the rest.

The chauffeur wears the uniform whatever you book. A stretch limousine seats 8 to 10 when the party wants to arrive together and arrive in style.

How a Memphis run is arranged

The long run to and from MEM

Executive Transportation is an Illinois chauffeur company with a long-distance book, and Memphis sits at the far end of one of its regular corridors. Groups fly in and travel north, or fly out of MEM after a run south.

The drive below is a clear-road figure rather than a promise. Book against the flight and a coordinator builds the pickup from it, including whether the vehicle stays overnight.

One quote covers the vehicle, however many state lines the run crosses.

Park or be driven

Park at MEM, or be driven to it

The airport publishes a 24-hour maximum for every lot, which makes the arithmetic easy. Here is what a car costs while it sits there, before anyone has driven it anywhere.

  • Cheapest official option$9Per 24 hours in the Economy garage and in the Blue and Yellow lots, the latter on a free shuttle bus.
  • Long Term$15Per 24 hours, walking distance to the terminal by moving walkway, with the first 30 minutes free.
  • Short Term$24Per 24 hours for the closest spaces, charged at $4 an hour after the first free half hour.

There is a free cell phone waiting area if somebody is collecting you, though the airport asks that drivers stay with the vehicle. Ask a coordinator for a figure on the transfer costs instead.

Airport to airport

Transfers between Memphis and other airports

Some trips end at a different field from the one they started at. Executive Transportation drives that gap in a single vehicle, with the luggage staying exactly where you put it.

Each card is the drive between Memphis and the airport named, in either direction. The reservation needs the MEM flight and the other airport’s flight, both with their scheduled times, and a call to dispatch if either moves.

Two fields, one reservation, and one hourly figure written for the vehicle.

Memphis questions

What people ask before booking an MEM car

The answers below use the airport’s own published ground transportation and parking guidance, read on flymemphis.com in September 2026.

Where does a limo or car service pick up at Memphis airport?

Executive Transportation collects arriving passengers on the center commercial drive, in front of the Concourse B baggage claim area, which is the pickup point the airport assigns to taxis and limousines. Your chauffeur confirms the exact door and the vehicle description before you walk out of the building.

See how airport transportation works.

Does a Memphis limo have to be booked in advance?

Yes. The airport states that service for luxury limousines must be prearranged and coordinated with the companies offering service to airport passengers. Executive Transportation works that way anyway: the vehicle and the chauffeur are assigned to your flight when the booking is confirmed, not found on the drive when you land.

Call (217) 523-5466 or request a quote.

Is Memphis International the same as Frederick W. Smith International?

Yes. The airport’s own site now uses the Frederick W. Smith International Airport name, while the code stays MEM and most travelers and airlines still say Memphis International. Booking with either name reaches the same field, and Executive Transportation drives to the same terminal and the same commercial drive.

Request a Quote with your flight details.

What happens if my flight into Memphis is delayed?

Executive Transportation would rather reschedule the car than send a chauffeur to an empty baggage claim. The vehicle is held against the flight number and scheduled arrival you gave when booking rather than a screen we watch, so the phone call is what moves it. Dispatch is answered around the clock, including overnight.

Call (217) 523-5466 to move a booked pickup.

Do you pick up from private jets and charter flights at Memphis?

Executive Transportation drives the general aviation side of Memphis as well as the terminal. The airport names Signature Flight Support and Wilson Air Center, both on Winchester Road, and we meet aircraft at the FBO door, load plane-side where the operator allows it, and carry crew and passengers on one booking.

Send the tail number when you book the chauffeur.

Which vehicle should a group book for MEM?

Executive Transportation runs executive sedans for two to three passengers, luxury SUVs for five to six, Sprinter vans for fourteen and coaches for parties up to thirty-five. Luggage usually decides it before headcount does, so tell a coordinator how many checked bags are traveling as well as how many people.

Compare the full fleet.

How is the price of a Memphis car service worked out?

Executive Transportation quotes a Memphis car service by the hour, vehicle and chauffeur together, and the written quote names the minimum hours before you commit. The hours the run takes, the vehicle the party fits and a second leg home are what move it. One figure covers the whole vehicle, so a group shares it instead of buying a seat each.

Read the car service cost guide.

Can you drive from Memphis to St. Louis or another airport?

Executive Transportation drives airport to airport as a single booking, and Memphis to St. Louis Lambert is a run we quote regularly. The bags stay in the vehicle the whole way, and one chauffeur covers both ends. Both flights and both scheduled times go on the one reservation.

See airport-to-airport transfers.

Book the ride

Request your Memphis ride

Three things that make an MEM transfer go smoothly.

  • It is arranged before you fly

The airport wants limousine work prearranged, so the vehicle, the chauffeur and the pickup point are all settled while you are still packing.

  • Quoted by the hour, before you ride

The vehicle and chauffeur are quoted by the hour with the minimum stated up front, so the figure is written before you leave. A group shares one vehicle rather than buying six seats.

  • Dispatch answers at both ends of the day

First-wave departures and late arrivals are most of this work, and somebody picks up the phone for either of them.
