Hourly Chauffeur Service: Car Service by the Hour, As Directed
Buy the block of hours, then stop wherever the day tells you to.
An hourly booking holds one vehicle and one chauffeur for a stretch of time instead of for a single trip, so the car is outside while you are inside. Roadshows, site visits, session days and long evenings are all booked this way.

What hourly service is
What an hourly chauffeur booking holds for you
Hourly chauffeur service is the same uniformed chauffeur and the same vehicle, hired for a period of time rather than for one journey. Between stops the car stays where you left it, with your coats and cases still in the back.
As directed means you set the order
You do not have to know the whole day at the booking. Give a coordinator the start, the hours and whatever stops you already have, then change the order on the day. The chauffeur works to your itinerary rather than the other way around.
Waiting is what you are paying for
The value of an hourly booking is the parts where nobody is driving anywhere: an hour in a meeting, forty minutes at a photograph, two acts of a show. The vehicle is held for the whole block instead of released between trips.
A minimum applies, and it is quoted up front
Hourly work carries a minimum number of hours. A coordinator states it when the quote goes out, along with the rate for the block, so nothing about the figure arrives as a surprise at the end of the evening.
Hours, minimums and what happens if the day runs long are settled on the booking rather than on this page, because they change with the vehicle and the date. Ask when you call: (217) 523-5466.
How an hourly booking goes
Booking the block, then spending it
Two halves: what a coordinator needs beforehand, and how the hours behave once the day starts.
Booking the block
What we settle before the day
- Say when the day starts and roughly how longA start address, a start hour and an estimate of the hours. The estimate can be wrong.
- List the stops you already knowOffices, venues, a lunch, a hotel. Anything with a fixed time on it matters most.
- The quote states the rate and the minimumBoth arrive together, with the vehicle named, before anybody is asked to commit.
- The vehicle is held for those hoursIt is not sent out on another trip in the middle of your block.
During the day
How the hours actually run
- The car is outside when you come outNo calling ahead and no waiting outside, because it never went anywhere.
- Change the route wheneverTell the chauffeur. A stop that was second becomes fourth and nothing needs rebooking.
- Extend by phone if the day overrunsCall dispatch while the block is still running and we will add hours if the vehicle is free.
- The day ends wherever you end itHome, a hotel or the restaurant. The drop-off does not have to be where you started.

The days that are better held as one block
An hourly block is the right shape whenever the day has more than two addresses in it, or whenever the end time is a guess rather than a fact.

Weather moves aircraft, so tell dispatch
A slot that slips two hours is a phone call. The block shifts rather than being lost.
Name the operator and the tail number on the booking, and call dispatch when the slot moves. We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.

Why be driven
How much a chauffeur costs by the hour
An hourly figure depends on which vehicle you are holding and for how long, so a coordinator quotes the block rather than posting a rate: one figure for the whole vehicle, with the minimum stated up front rather than as a footnote.
Vehicle first, hours second
A sedan and a fourteen seat Sprinter cost different amounts to hold, whatever the day looks like.
A minimum applies
Hourly work is booked in blocks, and the smallest one is stated up front rather than discovered.
Distance sets the hours
A day that runs a hundred miles between stops takes more hours than one inside a single downtown, and the hours are what is quoted.
One block or separate runs
Two addresses and nothing between them is one run. Three or more, or a long wait in the middle, are better held as one continuous block.
We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.

Cities where a day is booked by the hour
Hourly days are booked across Central Illinois and driven wherever the itinerary goes, including out of state. Each card carries the code of the field nearest it, because plenty of these days begin at one.
Every city page lists its own pickup points and the runs made there, and the whole roster sits on the service area hub.
An hourly day can finish in another state: that is still this booking, not a new one. A single long leg with nothing in the middle is long distance car service instead.
Wherever the day runs, one vehicle covers all of it.

What riders say
Riders on a day with a chauffeur
Executive Transportation saved the day after another bus company fell through last minute. Our driver Andrew arrived on time and got us safely to and from our event.
Andrew, my driver, was fantastic. Excellent communication, ensured my comfort, and impeccable punctuality.
Executive Transportation was easy to work with and very reliable. I would definitely hire them again.
An office that holds a car for a visiting executive every few weeks books it through executive chauffeur service.
Session days, agency visits and delegation itineraries run through government travel.
Hourly questions
What people ask about hiring a chauffeur by the hour
The hours, the minimum and what happens when a day runs longer than anybody planned.
How much does a chauffeur cost?
Executive Transportation quotes a chauffeur by the hour, for a day of stops and for a single transfer alike, rather than publishing a rate. The figure covers the whole vehicle and follows the vehicle you are holding, the length of the block and the hour it starts, with the miles the day covers helping set the hours. A minimum applies, quoted up front.
Send your day or call (217) 523-5466.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Yes. Hourly chauffeur work is booked in blocks and a minimum applies, which a coordinator states with the quote before you commit rather than at the end of the night. The minimum can change with the vehicle class and the date, so ask about yours when you call.
Dispatch is at (217) 523-5466, any hour.
Does waiting time count inside the hours?
It does, and that is the point of the booking. You are holding the vehicle and the chauffeur for the whole block, so the hour spent in a meeting, at a photograph or inside a theater is part of what you reserved. The car is not released to another trip in between.
Request a Quote for your block.
Can I add stops or change the route on the day?
Yes. An hourly booking is as directed, so you set the order and change it while the day runs. Tell the chauffeur about an extra stop, or call dispatch if the change is large enough to affect the hours. Nothing has to be rebooked to add an address.
Call (217) 523-5466 while the block is running.
What happens if the day runs longer than booked?
Call dispatch before the block ends and hours are usually added on the spot, though the vehicle has to be free of its next commitment to do it. Calling early in the afternoon is far safer than calling as the last hour expires.
Extensions go through dispatch at (217) 523-5466.
Should I book one hourly block or separate trips?
It depends on how many addresses the day has. Two stops and nothing between them is a single point to point run. Three or more, or a long gap you want the car to sit through, are far simpler as one continuous block with the vehicle held between them. Both are quoted by the hour, minimum stated up front.
Compare point to point.
Can I hire an hourly chauffeur for a wedding or an event?
Yes. A wedding party photograph circuit, a prize night and a concert are all standard hourly work, and larger parties take a Sprinter or a coach instead of a sedan. Guest shuttles between a ceremony and a reception are booked the same way.
