Dubuque, Iowa · Chauffeured airport transfers
Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ) Car Service & Chauffeured Transportation
A corporate field in the tri-state corner, and a car that meets the aircraft.
Most of what moves through DBQ now is private, charter and corporate flying into the jet center, with everything else driving to a field that has the flight. Executive Transportation covers both halves: a uniformed chauffeur at the FBO door, or the whole run to whichever airport your ticket actually leaves from.

Know the airport
What to know about Dubuque Regional
Dubuque Regional Airport, code DBQ, sits in the corner where Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin meet, and it is now mostly a general aviation and charter field. Its own site lists no scheduled airline flights and points travelers to a reserved shuttle to The Eastern Iowa Airport instead. That changes what ground transportation here is actually for.
The Capt. Robert L. Martin Terminal
The passenger building was completed in 2016 at a cost of around $37 million, and the work more than tripled the terminal footprint. The city named it after Captain Robert L. Martin, a Tuskegee Airman who flew more than 60 missions in the World War II. It is a serious building for a field this size, and it is where a charter passenger walks out to a waiting car.
Private and charter flying is the main event
The Dubuque Jet Center is the airport’s own full service operator, working corporate aviation, charter operators and aircraft owners across the tri-state region. Self-fueling runs around the clock, with after-hours support available on request, so an aircraft arriving late at night is not arriving to a closed field.
For an airline ticket, the airport itself points elsewhere
The airport publishes no airline schedule. What it does publish is a door-to-door shuttle, run by reservation, from the Dubuque terminal to The Eastern Iowa Airport. We do the same job in a chauffeured vehicle on your own schedule, to Cedar Rapids or to any of the larger fields within reach, which is most of the work this page exists for.
Parking is free, and the terminal front is calm
The airport states plainly that parking at Dubuque Regional is free. Avis and Budget sit inside the terminal, Hertz delivers to the jet center for its Gold members, and there is no numbered livery lane because there is no congestion to manage. Your chauffeur meets you inside at baggage claim and carries the bags out.
Terminal, general aviation, parking and ground transportation details checked on the airport’s own site, flydbq.com, on September 17, 2026. Service at small airports changes, so confirm anything time sensitive before you travel.

Departures and arrivals at Dubuque Regional
Two versions of this trip: meeting an aircraft here, or driving to the airport your ticket names.
Departures
Your door to the aircraft
- Tell us which flight this isA tail number and an operator if you are flying privately, an airline and a flight number if the run is to another field. The two trips are planned differently from the first phone call.
- The pickup time comes off the departureFor a charter it is the crew’s ready time. For a drive to another airport it is the check-in window at that airport, plus the run, plus a cushion. Either way a coordinator gives you a time.
- Luggage loaded at your doorThe chauffeur is out of the car and handling bags before you reach the back of it, and does the same at the ramp or the terminal on the other end.
- Dropped at the jet center or the terminalA private departure goes to the Dubuque Jet Center door. Anything else goes wherever the ticket says, which on this page is usually another airport entirely.
Arrivals
Wheels down to your door
- Send the arrival details when you bookTail number and scheduled arrival, or flight number if you are landing somewhere else and driving in. Call dispatch if either moves. Somebody answers at any hour.
- Already parked when the wheels touchParking is free and the frontage is quiet, so the vehicle waits on the field rather than circling a roadway. Nobody is being moved along by an airport officer here.
- Bags into the car at the doorAt the jet center that happens beside the aircraft or at the FBO entrance. At the terminal your chauffeur takes them at baggage claim and carries them out to the trunk.
- Straight out, wherever you are goingDubuque, Galena, the Quad Cities or back across the river into Illinois. One quote covers the vehicle for the whole run.
Private jets and charter
Private jet and charter flights at Dubuque Regional
This is the main business of the field, not a footnote to it. The Dubuque Jet Center works corporate aviation, charter operators and owner-flown aircraft for the tri-state corner, and Executive Transportation meets all of them at the door.
- 01
Pickup at the jet center door
There is no terminal walk in this version of the trip. The chauffeur is parked at the fixed base operator entrance while the aircraft is still on the ramp, in uniform, with the trunk already open.
- 02
Luggage loaded plane-side
Given ramp access, bags come off the aircraft and into the vehicle without a building in between. Without it, the handover happens at the jet center door a few steps away.
- 03
Crew on one clock, passengers on another
Crew rest and passenger meetings rarely run to the same clock. One booking covers both, in one vehicle or two, so nobody waits for a car to come back around the field.
- 04
A Sprinter for the delegation
Fourteen seats and room for hard cases take a full cabin in one run, and a coach takes the parties that outgrow it. It is one quote for the vehicle either way.

Why be driven
Four reasons to be driven to DBQ
When the flight is private, the ground half is the only half you control. When the flight is somewhere else, the ground half is the whole trip.
Priced by the car, not the seat
Quoted by the hour for the vehicle and chauffeur, minimum stated up front, with the river crossing planned into the hours. A party of six shares one figure instead of buying six seats.
The car meets the aircraft
A private arrival is met at the jet center door, not at a terminal you were never going to walk through. Bags move once, at the aircraft.
Work through it or sleep through it
Every version of this trip involves real distance. The back seat turns it into working time or sleep instead of a day behind the wheel.
Chauffeurs since 2004
Two decades of airport work, starting in 2004, is what this company does. Uniformed, early, and briefed on the field, whether that field is a jet center or a hub.
We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.
The fleet
What we send to Dubuque
Every Dubuque transfer is quoted by the hour for the whole vehicle, so the sizing question is just people and luggage. A coordinator settles it in one call.

Where our Dubuque runs start
Executive Transportation drives to Dubuque Regional in both directions on one quote for the whole vehicle, whether the trip ends at the jet center or starts there. Each city below has a page of its own.
Every figure is a clear-road drive to the field. Give a coordinator the flight or the tail number rather than the drive: the pickup is built backward from the departure, and the river crossings are where a schedule slips.
Calibrated figures for clear roads, which river weather and bridge work both add to. Pickups also run from Jacksonville, Galesburg, Lincoln and any address between the cities listed.
One quote covers the vehicle, out to the field or back from it.
Park or be driven
Park at DBQ, or be driven from it
There is no parking arithmetic to do here, because the airport does not charge for it. What is worth knowing is what the field offers on the ground, and where it sends you for a ticket.
- Parking at the terminalFreeThe airport states it plainly: parking is free at Dubuque Regional.
- Shuttle to Cedar RapidsBy reservationThe airport lists a door-to-door shuttle run to The Eastern Iowa Airport, booked in advance.
- Jet center fueling24/7Self-fueling runs around the clock at the Dubuque Jet Center, with after-hours support on request.
We drive the same connections on your own schedule, in a vehicle you do not share. See how a car service is priced before you weigh it against a free parking space and your own long drive.

Airport to airport
Popular transfers between DBQ and other airports
This is the run this page exists for. When the ticket leaves from another field, Executive Transportation drives the whole gap in one vehicle, on your schedule rather than a shuttle timetable.
Each card is the drive between Dubuque Regional and the airport named, in either direction. Booking one means writing down both ends, the inbound aircraft or airline and the onward departure, with the scheduled time for each.
Clear-road figures for the drive itself, before tri-state winter weather is factored in.
One booking, from this field to the one your ticket names.
What riders say
Three riders, three different problems solved
Executive Transportation saved the day after another bus company fell through last minute.
Our group of 7 needed a ride from Chicago O’Hare to Springfield. The vehicle was clean and comfortable.
The scheduling process was seamless, and the timely pickup from Bloomington airport made my journey stress-free.
Companies flying their own aircraft into the tri-state corner arrange the ground half through executive chauffeur service, with the same standard on every trip.
Teams connecting through a larger airport instead book corporate airport transfers and let one coordinator hold the whole schedule.
DBQ questions
What people ask before booking a DBQ car
The answers below use Dubuque Regional’s own published information, checked on flydbq.com in September 2026, plus our own calibrated drive figures.
Do you pick up from private jets and charter flights at Dubuque Regional?
Executive Transportation meets private, charter and corporate aircraft at the Dubuque Jet Center, the airport’s own full service operator. The car waits at the FBO door, luggage moves plane-side where the operator allows it, and crew and passengers ride on one booking rather than two.
Send the tail number when you book the chauffeur.
Does Dubuque Regional have airline flights?
The airport’s own site lists no scheduled airline service and instead publishes a reserved shuttle to The Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids. Executive Transportation drives that connection, and the longer ones to Chicago or the Quad Cities, in a chauffeured vehicle on your schedule.
See the Cedar Rapids page.
Where does the chauffeur meet you at DBQ?
Executive Transportation meets arriving passengers at the jet center door for a private flight, or at the terminal pickup area otherwise. The airport publishes no livery lane and parking here is free, so the car is already waiting rather than circling, and your chauffeur confirms the door before you walk out.
See how airport transportation works.
Can you drive from Dubuque to Chicago O’Hare?
Executive Transportation drives Dubuque to O’Hare and back as a single booking, which is the usual answer for an international departure or a long-haul flight. The luggage stays in the vehicle, the chauffeur handles both ends, and the quote covers the whole car rather than a seat in it.
See the O’Hare airport page.
What happens if my flight into Dubuque is late?
Executive Transportation wants the call as soon as the operator or the airline moves you. The car is held against the tail number or flight number and the scheduled time given at booking, so nothing reschedules itself. Dispatch is answered at any hour, which charter flying tends to need.
Call (217) 523-5466 to move a booked pickup.
How is the price for a DBQ car service set?
Executive Transportation quotes Dubuque work as hours on the vehicle and its chauffeur, with the minimum hours spelled out in the written quote. The figure moves with the hours the run takes, the vehicle class and whether you need one leg or a round trip. One quote covers the whole vehicle, so a party of six splits a single figure.
Request a Quote with your dates.
Which vehicle should a group book for Dubuque?
Executive Transportation starts with what came off the aircraft. Executive sedans hold two to three passengers, luxury SUVs five to six, Sprinter vans fourteen, and coaches take parties up to thirty-five. Hard cases and golf bags push a party up a size more often than people do.
Compare the full fleet.
Is parking free at Dubuque Regional Airport?
Yes. The airport states that parking at Dubuque Regional is free, with Avis and Budget counters inside the terminal and Hertz delivering to the jet center for its Gold members. Free parking still leaves the drive, which is the part a chauffeur takes off your hands.
Ask a coordinator what the run costs at (217) 523-5466.
