Louisville, Kentucky · Chauffeured airport transfers
Louisville (SDF) Car Service & Chauffeured Transportation
Upper level out, baggage claim back in, and a chauffeur already standing there.
Louisville publishes exactly where a pre-arranged car is allowed to collect you, which makes this one of the easier airports to be met at properly. Executive Transportation sends a uniformed chauffeur to your door, handles the luggage at both ends, and is waiting at baggage claim with your name when you land.

Know the airport
What to know about Louisville Muhammad Ali International
Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, code SDF, runs a terminal of about 360,000 square feet with 25 boarding gates, split across two levels: ticket counters upstairs, baggage claim downstairs. It is one of the few airports that tells pre-arranged cars precisely where to stand. Private jet and charter flights use the general aviation side instead, where the airport names Atlantic Aviation as its operator.
Two levels, and they do different jobs
The airport is blunt about it: the upper level is for drop-offs and sits next to the airline ticket counters, and the lower level is for pickups and sits next to baggage claim. That single sentence settles most of what a chauffeur needs to know about this field, in both directions.
The pickup lane outside baggage claim is for cars like ours
Louisville states that for customers who have pre-arranged pick-ups, rides will be available just outside the lower-level baggage claim area. Rideshare passengers are sent to the west side of baggage claim and out the side doors instead. You do not have to know the difference: your chauffeur is inside at baggage claim and walks you out to the right one.
Waiting is discouraged, which is fine by us
Drivers who want to sit and wait are pointed at the Express Shuttle Lot, which the airport says carries a two hour grace period at no charge. Our chauffeurs use that rather than circling the terminal, so the car is a minute away when your bags land and nothing is parked where it should not be.
Twenty-five gates, one building
For a passenger this matters less than it sounds. Every gate feeds the same baggage claim hall, so the walk from your seat to the car is short whichever airline you flew. Give a coordinator the airline and the flight number rather than a gate.
Pickup, terminal and parking details checked on the airport’s own site, flylouisville.com, on September 17, 2026. Louisville edits its own guidance from time to time, so confirm anything that has to be right on the day.

Departures and arrivals at Louisville
Upper level on the way out, baggage claim downstairs on the way back in.
Departures
Your door to the upper level
- Send the flight and the airlineThe booking runs on five things: airline, flight number, scheduled departure, how many are traveling and how much luggage. A coordinator confirms the vehicle back to you in writing.
- The pickup is built backward from the departureYour airline’s check-in advice sets the target, then the run, then a cushion for the parts of the route that actually clog. The result is one pickup time you can plan a morning around.
- Bags at your doorThe chauffeur is out and loading before you reach the car, and lifts everything out again at the terminal rather than watching you do it.
- Dropped upstairs, beside the countersLouisville puts drop-offs on the upper level next to the airline ticket counters, so that is where the car stops. Bags out, a few steps to the desk, done.
Arrivals
Lower-level baggage claim back to your door
- Give us the flight numberFlight number and scheduled arrival at booking, and a call to dispatch if either changes. Somebody answers at any hour, which matters on a late inbound from a hub.
- Claim your bags downstairsBaggage claim sits on the lower level. Every gate at this airport feeds the same hall, so there is no wrong carousel building to end up in.
- Find your chauffeur at the carouselYour chauffeur is inside at lower-level baggage claim with your name, takes the bags, and walks you out to the lane the airport reserves for pre-arranged pickups. It is not the rideshare door on the west side, and nobody has to work that out with a suitcase in hand.
- If the flight runs late, the car waits properlyRather than circling the terminal, the vehicle holds in the Express Shuttle Lot, which the airport says carries a two hour grace period at no charge, and your chauffeur is at baggage claim for the new time.
Private jets and charter
Private jet and charter flights at Louisville
Louisville sees a lot of corporate aviation, and the airport names Atlantic Aviation as the operator handling it. Executive Transportation drives that side of the field the same way it drives the terminal: one uniformed chauffeur, one vehicle held against your tail number, and a car waiting when the door opens.
- 01
Pickup at the FBO door
Private and charter arrivals are handled at the fixed base operator rather than the passenger building, so the levels and the baggage hall are irrelevant to you. The chauffeur waits at the FBO door rather than the airline terminal.
- 02
Luggage loaded plane-side
Where the operator and the ramp allow it, cases go from the aircraft into the vehicle without a luggage cart in between. Where they do not, the handover is at the FBO door and the car is already sitting there.
- 03
Two destinations on one reservation
The crew needs a hotel and the passengers usually need an office or a plant, both on a clock. Both travel on a single booking, in one vehicle or two, so nobody waits for a car to come back around.
- 04
A Sprinter when the aircraft empties at once
An aircraft full of executives fits one Sprinter, with a stand-up aisle and room for hard cases. Larger delegations move to a coach, still quoted for the vehicle rather than per seat.
Where general aviation runs at SDF
- Atlantic Aviation1131 Standiford Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40213The general aviation operator the airport names on its own corporate page, with a terminal and corporate hangar on the field. Atlantic lists the facility as open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Give us the tail number, the operator, the field and the scheduled arrival when you book, and call dispatch if any of it moves. The dispatch line is answered through the night as well as the working day. We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.

Why be driven
Four reasons to be driven to Louisville
This is a long run into another time zone, at either end of a working day. That is the whole argument for a chauffeur, and here is how it breaks down.
One figure for the run south
The vehicle and chauffeur are quoted by the hour, minimum stated up front, so a coordinator builds the hours around the interstate rather than hoping. Four colleagues on one flight share one figure.
Door to door, upstairs and down
Dropped at the upper level beside the counters, met at baggage claim downstairs. No lot, no shuttle, no ticket in a coat pocket for a week.
The drive becomes working time
Most riders on this route bill the time. Take the calls on the way down, and sleep on the way back without watching a lane line.
Uniformed chauffeurs since 2004
This company has driven airport runs since 2004. The chauffeur is in uniform, parked before your time, and has read what Louisville actually says about its pickup lanes rather than guessing.
We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.
The fleet
Fleet for this run
Louisville runs are quoted by the hour, for the whole vehicle, so the questions are headcount and luggage. Tell a coordinator both and the rest is settled in one call.

Where our Louisville runs start
Executive Transportation drives to Louisville Muhammad Ali International from across Central Illinois, in both directions, on one quote for the whole vehicle. These are the cities the Louisville work comes from most, and each has its own page.
Each figure is a clear-road drive to the terminal, and the clock moves an hour on this trip because Louisville keeps Eastern time. Give dispatch the flight and we do that arithmetic for you when the pickup is set.
Calibrated clear-road drives, which is the best case rather than the plan. Effingham, Mattoon, Charleston and any address along the route south are collected from too.
The vehicle is quoted once, wherever the Kentucky run begins.
Park or be driven
Park at Louisville, or be driven to it
Parking is the figure people price first and remember least. Here is what Louisville has charged since its July 2026 update, and what the drive costs before you reach a barrier.
- Cheapest official lot$9Per day in the Express Shuttle Lot, or $6 a day plus tax when it is reserved at least four hours ahead.
- Terminal garage$22Per day in the garage, with the Premier lots at $15, the Surface Lot at $13 and valet at $35.
- The drive itself$498.56A Springfield round trip of 656 miles at the IRS business rate of 76 cents a mile, before any parking.
Four days in the garage on top of that mileage is about $587, and none of it counts the two days behind the wheel. See how a car service is priced.
Get a quote for the whole vehicleParking rates announced by flylouisville.com on June 29, 2026, and effective July 1, 2026, checked September 17, 2026. The 76 cents a mile on the Springfield round trip above is the irs.gov business rate for July 1 to December 31, 2026. The vehicle is quoted by the hour with the minimum stated up front, so ask a coordinator for the figure.

Airport to airport
Popular transfers between Louisville and other airports
Kentucky and southern Indiana put three usable airports within an easy drive of each other, so arriving at one and leaving from another is common. Executive Transportation drives the gap in one vehicle.
Each card is the drive between Louisville and the airport named, in either direction. Send both flight numbers and both scheduled times at booking, and call dispatch if either moves.
Clear-road figures. Louisville and Lexington keep Eastern time; St. Louis does not.
One booking, two airports, one quote for the vehicle.
What riders say
Riders on the long southern runs
Executive Transportation saved the day after another bus company fell through last minute.
The scheduling process was seamless, and the timely pickup from Bloomington airport made my journey stress-free.
Our group of 7 needed a ride from Chicago O’Hare to Springfield. The vehicle was clean and comfortable.
Companies with distribution and manufacturing in the Ohio valley move the same people south on a rhythm, and corporate airport transfers are arranged one trip or one travel calendar at a time.
Derby week, trade shows and client events all bring groups who need every arrival on one schedule, which is what event transportation handles.
Louisville questions
What people ask before booking an SDF car
The answers below use Louisville Muhammad Ali International’s own published guidance, checked on flylouisville.com in September 2026, and our calibrated drive times.
How far ahead should I book a car service to Louisville?
Executive Transportation prefers 72 hours’ notice for a Louisville transfer, and roughly a week when the party needs a coach. It is a long run, so the early departures fill first. Call anytime and give a coordinator the airline, the flight number and the headcount to hold a vehicle.
Call (217) 523-5466 or request a quote.
Where does the chauffeur meet you at SDF?
Executive Transportation meets arriving passengers inside at lower level baggage claim, takes the luggage, and walks you out to the lane Louisville reserves for customers with pre-arranged pickups. Rideshare passengers are sent to the west side of baggage claim instead, so you never have to pick a door yourself.
See how airport transportation works.
Which level do departures use at Louisville?
Louisville puts drop-offs on the upper level beside the airline ticket counters and pickups on the lower level beside baggage claim. Executive Transportation drops departing passengers upstairs, so the walk from the car to the counter is a few steps rather than an escalator ride with luggage.
Tell a coordinator your airline at (217) 523-5466.
What happens if my flight into Louisville is late?
Executive Transportation holds your car against the flight number on the booking, not against a screen in an office, so the fix for a delay is a phone call to dispatch. Meanwhile the vehicle holds in the Express Shuttle Lot rather than circling the terminal, and the phone is answered at any hour.
Call (217) 523-5466 to move a booked pickup.
How is the price for an SDF car service set?
Executive Transportation quotes the vehicle and chauffeur by the hour, and the written quote states the minimum hours before you ride. The hours a Louisville run takes door to door, the vehicle class and whether the return leg is booked at the same time set the figure. One quote covers the whole vehicle, not a seat in it.
Request a Quote with your dates.
Which vehicle should a group book for Louisville?
Executive Transportation fits two or three travelers in a sedan, five or six in an SUV, fourteen in a Sprinter van, and as many as thirty-five on a coach. Over a distance like this one the luggage tends to make the decision, so send the bag count with the headcount.
Compare the full fleet.
Do you pick up from private jets and charter flights at Louisville?
Executive Transportation drives the general aviation side of Louisville as well as the terminal. The airport names Atlantic Aviation as its operator, and we meet private, charter and corporate aircraft at that FBO door, load plane-side where the ramp allows it, and carry crew and passengers on one booking.
Send the tail number when you book the chauffeur.
Can you collect from Bowman Field instead?
The same airport authority runs Bowman Field for general aviation and names Louisville Executive Aviation as the operator there. Executive Transportation will meet you at whichever field your flight actually uses, so tell dispatch the airport and the FBO when you book rather than assuming the main terminal.
Confirm the field with dispatch at (217) 523-5466.
