Mascoutah, Illinois · Chauffeured airport transfers
MidAmerica St. Louis (BLV) Car Service & Chauffeured Transportation
A small terminal on the Illinois side of the river, and a short walk from door to gate.
BLV is the quiet way into the St. Louis market: one passenger building, a lot you can see from the door, and no garage to spiral up. Executive Transportation works it for Allegiant departures and for private and charter flights off the general aviation ramp, on one quote that covers the whole vehicle.

Know the airport
What to know about MidAmerica St. Louis
MidAmerica St. Louis Airport, code BLV, sits at Mascoutah in St. Clair County and carries a year-round Allegiant schedule out of a single passenger terminal. It is a joint civil and military field, and it handles corporate and charter aircraft alongside the airline. The whole appeal is the scale: you can watch the car pull away from inside the building.
One terminal, one airline, and very little walking
MidAmerica supports a year-round schedule to several destinations on Allegiant, and everything happens in one building. There is no concourse train, no second terminal to get wrong and no garage to spiral up. For a traveler used to a hub, the surprise is how little time passes between the car door and the security line.
It shares the field with Scott Air Force Base
The airport is a joint civil and military operation. In its own history, a Joint Use Agreement was signed by the Air Force and St. Clair County on September 16, 1991, clearing the way for civil facilities at Scott AFB, and the agreement was renewed in September 2016 for twenty-five years through 2041. BLV was certified by the FAA in October 1997 and opened in May 1998 as a commercial reliever for Lambert.
The pickup point the airport does not publish
MidAmerica publishes no pickup door, lane or level for any ground transportation service, so nothing of the sort is printed here, and you do not need it. Your chauffeur meets you inside at baggage claim, takes the luggage, and walks you out to the vehicle in the designated commercial vehicle pickup area. Until you land, the vehicle waits in the free cell phone lot just off the terminal road.
What else the airport lists on the ground
Enterprise handles rental cars on the field. Uber, Lyft and VanGo are accepted, and the St. Clair County Transit District runs a shuttle between the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink station and the terminal for $3 one way in cash, seven days a week, leaving every 40 minutes and taking about 20 minutes. None of that covers the other end of the trip, which is the half we are here for.
Airline, parking, ground transportation and joint use details checked on the airport’s own site, flymidamerica.com, on September 17, 2026. MidAmerica updates these pages, so confirm anything time sensitive before you travel.
BLV airport transportation
Departures and arrivals at MidAmerica
One building does all of it, which makes this the simplest airport run we drive.
Departures
Your address to the BLV terminal door
- Send the flight detailsThe airline, the flight number and the time printed on the boarding pass. There is only one terminal here, so that is the whole conversation.
- The departure sets the pickup timeStart with what the airline asks of you, add the run down through Litchfield and Highland, and leave a cushion for weather on I-55. Allegiant does not fly every day, which makes the early departures busy.
- Bags loaded where you are standingHome driveway, hotel portico or plant gate. The chauffeur handles the luggage at that end, not just at the airport end.
- Dropped at the terminal doorOne building, one set of doors, and a walk measured in yards. If you are flying a charter instead, say so and the drop moves to the general aviation side.
Arrivals
Off the aircraft and out the door
- Book with the flight numberThe flight number and scheduled landing time set the vehicle. Call dispatch if either one changes; the line is answered at any hour.
- Met in the one hallBaggage claim is where everything else is, a few steps from the gates, and your chauffeur is standing in it with your name. Nobody gets lost in this building.
- The bags are ours from the belt to the trunkThe airport publishes no pickup point of its own, so your chauffeur takes the luggage at the carousel and walks you out to the vehicle rather than naming a spot. It holds in the cell phone lot until you are down.
- Straight north, no river crossingThe run home from Mascoutah stays on the Illinois side the whole way, which is part of why Central Illinois travelers pick BLV in the first place.
Private jets and charter
Private jet and charter flights at MidAmerica
MidAmerica handles corporate and charter aircraft alongside the Allegiant schedule, and it runs the fixed base operation itself. Executive Transportation meets those aircraft the same way it meets an airline arrival: a uniformed chauffeur, the right vehicle, and the hour you asked for.
- 01
Pickup on the general aviation side
Charter and corporate passengers do not use the airline doors, so neither does the car. Your chauffeur waits at the fixed base operation entrance, which on a field this size means the vehicle is already in sight as you come down the stairs.
- 02
Luggage handled beside the aircraft
Where the operator and the ramp allow it, cases go from the hold straight into the vehicle. Where they do not, the handover happens at the FBO door and nothing about the timing changes.
- 03
Crew and passengers on the same reservation
Corporate flight departments run tight turns. We take the crew to their hotel and the passengers to the meeting on one booking, so neither group is standing on the ramp waiting for the other car.
- 04
Sprinters and coaches for a full aircraft
A charter that arrives full needs more than a sedan. Fourteen seats in a Sprinter, or a coach for anything up to thirty-five, and the quote still covers the vehicle rather than counting seats.
Where general aviation runs at MidAmerica
- MidAmerica St. Louis Airport FBO9656 Air Terminal Drive, Mascoutah, Illinois 62258The airport runs the fixed base operation itself, fueling airline, corporate and military aircraft. It publishes normal hours of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week and says it is available around the clock with prior approval, which is the call your operator makes.
Book it with the tail number, the operator and the scheduled arrival, then call dispatch if the operator shifts the slot. The line is answered at every hour of the night. We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.

Why be driven
Four reasons to be driven to MidAmerica
BLV is an easy airport and a long drive. Handing over the second half of that sentence is the whole argument for a chauffeur on this run.
Quoted for the vehicle, not the seat
A BLV transfer is quoted by the hour for the whole vehicle, with the minimum stated up front. Two of you or six of you, the figure is the same, and a coordinator plans the hours around I-55 weather.
The lot is cheap, the drive is not
Parking at MidAmerica costs $9 for a full day. The wear on your own car is the part that runs into three figures before anyone parks anything.
Three hours of the day back
Out and back is a little over three hours behind the wheel. In the back seat it is a working morning with calls made and a report read.
Chauffeurs who know the Illinois side
We have run Central Illinois to the St. Louis metro since 2004, and to BLV without crossing the river. Chauffeurs arrive uniformed, early and unbothered by a Highland detour.
We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.
The fleet
Fleet for this run
Every MidAmerica transfer is quoted by the hour for the whole vehicle, so the question is simply which one your party and its luggage fit. Give a coordinator the headcount and the bag count.

Where our MidAmerica runs start
Executive Transportation drives to MidAmerica St. Louis from across Central Illinois, in both directions, on one quote for the whole vehicle. These are the cities the BLV work comes from most, and each one has its own page.
Every figure below is a clear-road drive to the terminal at Mascoutah. Give dispatch the flight rather than the drive: the pickup is built backward from your departure, and an Allegiant schedule is not a daily one.
Clear-road figures from our calibrated table, and the floor rather than the promise. We also collect from Taylorville, Litchfield, Carlinville, Effingham, Edwardsville and Alton, and from any address between them.
One hourly figure covers the vehicle, wherever in Illinois it starts.
Park or be driven
Park at BLV, or be driven to it
MidAmerica has one lot, it is cheap, and it is directly in front of the door. So the parking question here is not really about parking. It is about who spends the morning on I-55.
- First three hoursFreeNothing at all for 0 to 3 hours in the lot in front of the terminal, which covers a drop-off and a coffee.
- A full day$9Six to twenty-four hours in the same open-air lot. Credit or debit cards only at the self-service stations.
- The drive itself$148.96A Springfield round trip of about 196 miles at the IRS business rate of 76 cents a mile, before any parking.
The lot is almost free and the road is not, which is the opposite of how most people think about an airport trip. Read how the St. Louis run actually goes.

Airport to airport
Popular transfers between MidAmerica and other airports
The St. Louis market has four fields and they do not talk to each other. When the outbound and the inbound land at different ones, one vehicle and one chauffeur cover the whole gap.
Each card is the drive between MidAmerica and the airport named, in either direction. Hand us both flight numbers and both scheduled times at booking, and call dispatch if either moves.
Clear-road figures. Weekday traffic on the Illinois approaches is the variable they do not carry.
One reservation covers both fields, and the car is quoted once, by the hour.
What riders say
What riders tell us afterwards
Executive Transportation saved the day after another bus company fell through last minute.
Our group of 7 needed a ride from Chicago O’Hare to Springfield. The vehicle was clean and comfortable.
The scheduling process was seamless, and the timely pickup from Bloomington airport made my journey stress-free.
Companies with plants and offices in the Metro East send people through BLV all year, and corporate airport transfers are arranged one trip or one travel calendar at a time.

MidAmerica questions
What people ask before booking a car to BLV
The answers below use MidAmerica St. Louis Airport’s own published guidance, checked on flymidamerica.com in September 2026, and our own calibrated drive times.
How far is MidAmerica St. Louis Airport from Springfield, Illinois?
Executive Transportation figures about 98 miles and about 1 hour 40 minutes on clear roads, with no river crossing at any point. Decatur runs about 2 hours 15 minutes, Champaign-Urbana about 2 hours 35, and Peoria about 2 hours 45. Treat those as the floor rather than a promise, and book against the flight.
Call (217) 523-5466 or request a quote.
Where does the chauffeur meet you at MidAmerica St. Louis Airport?
Executive Transportation meets arriving passengers inside at baggage claim, takes the luggage, and walks you out to the vehicle in the designated commercial vehicle pickup area at the terminal. The airport publishes no pickup point for any ground transportation service, so we do not print one it has not published.
See how airport transportation works.
Does MidAmerica St. Louis Airport share a runway with Scott Air Force Base?
MidAmerica is a joint civil and military field. The airport says a Joint Use Agreement was signed by the Air Force and St. Clair County in September 1991, and renewed in September 2016 for twenty-five years through 2041. For a passenger it changes nothing, but it explains the scale of the airfield around a very small terminal.
Read the airport page for Lambert if you need a hub instead.
How much is parking at BLV, and is it worth driving?
MidAmerica charges nothing for the first three hours, $8 for three to six, and $9 for six to twenty-four hours, in the open lot in front of the terminal. The lot is not the expensive part. A Springfield round trip is about 196 miles, roughly $149 at the IRS business rate, before the day you spend driving it.
Request a Quote and compare the two.
What happens if my flight into BLV is delayed?
Executive Transportation needs a call from you the moment Allegiant or the operator moves the time. Your booking pins the car to the flight number and the arrival time you gave us, and nothing reshuffles on its own, so the phone is the mechanism. Someone answers the phone in the middle of the night.
Call (217) 523-5466 to move a booked pickup.
Which vehicle should a group book for MidAmerica?
Executive Transportation runs executive sedans for two to three passengers, luxury SUVs for five to six, Sprinter vans for fourteen, and coaches for parties up to thirty-five. Luggage settles it more often than headcount does, so tell a coordinator how many checked bags are coming as well as how many people.
Compare the full fleet.
Do you pick up from private jets and charter flights at MidAmerica?
Executive Transportation drives the general aviation side of BLV as well as the airline terminal. We meet private, charter and corporate aircraft at the fixed base operation entrance, load beside the aircraft where the operator allows it, and carry crew and passengers on one booking. A Sprinter takes a full aircraft in one run.
Send the tail number when you book the chauffeur.
Can you drive between MidAmerica and Lambert?
Executive Transportation books the four St. Louis area fields as one job, and the bags never change hands. Lambert is about 38 miles and three quarters of an hour from Mascoutah, St. Louis Downtown is closer still, and Spirit of St. Louis sits out west. Name both flights on the reservation and one chauffeur covers the pair.

Three things riders mention after a MidAmerica run.
A single hourly figure for the car
Quoted by the hour with the minimum stated up front, so a coordinator plans for weather on I-55 before you ride. Six people share one vehicle, not six seats.
No lot, no walk, no return leg to drive
Bags loaded at your address and set down at the terminal door. The drive home at the end is somebody else’s job.
Dispatch answers day and night
Early departures and late landings are most of this work, and a person picks up the phone at both ends of them.
