Government Travel: Chauffeured Transportation for Session Days and Agency Business
A calendar that will not hold still, and a vehicle that does not mind.
Send the buildings, the entrances and the hours, and one hourly figure comes back in writing. Where the day has no known finish, the vehicle is held for the block and waits.

What is included
What government travel covers
Public sector travel keeps a rhythm nothing else does: a calendar that moves after it is printed, visitors arriving on somebody else’s schedule, and a standard of discretion that is assumed rather than requested.
Session days, and the hours they actually run
A floor that adjourns late is the ordinary case rather than the exception. Held for the block, the vehicle holds position at the building instead of leaving, and the day finishes whenever it finishes.
Agency travel between offices and fields
Staff moving from a downtown office to a regional one three hours away and on to a flight is one reservation. Send the addresses and the hours and the whole day returns as a single figure.
Discretion, treated as a requirement
No passenger list leaves the desk, no photograph is taken, and nothing said in a vehicle travels further than the vehicle. A chauffeur is given an address and an hour, not a reason.
Every trip is quoted in writing beforehand and receipted afterwards. Ask a reservation coordinator about invoicing and receipts for your company. Travel built around a flight is on corporate airport transfers.
How a booking goes
A session day, and the travel around it
One half belongs to the office arranging it. The other half is a calendar refusing to behave.
The office
Arranging the travel
- Send the buildings, the entrances and the hoursState buildings have more than one door and not all of them take a vehicle. Name the entrance and it goes on the confirmation.
- The reply is one figure and its minimumThe hourly figure and the minimum are named in the same message, so nothing arrives afterwards that was not written down first.
- Two confirmations, and no names beyond themOne to the office and one to the rider. The passenger list stays with the desk that sent it.
- Documentation, where your office needs itWe can provide the documentation your office requires for a vendor file. Ask a coordinator. No claim is made here about a registration or a contract.
The day
How the day actually goes
- The vehicle is standing there before the hourA committee that starts on time should never be waiting on a car to arrive.
- A late adjournment is absorbed by the blockWhen the vehicle is held for the block it holds position, and coats and document boxes stay in it while the rider is inside.
- Stops in between are part of the same dayAn agency office at eleven, a lunch at one and a hearing at three is one vehicle rather than three arrangements.
- The way home is on the same reservationA late flight or a two hour drive back is quoted with the outbound instead of being found at seven in the evening.

Who books government travel
Four calendars drive most of this work and they rarely agree with one another: the session calendar, the agency one, the academic one, and whatever a visiting delegation brought.

Government travel and private jet or charter arrivals
State and charter aircraft use the general aviation side of a field rather than the airline terminal, and the Springfield field has its own operator on Capital Airport Drive.
- 01
No terminal comes into it
A charter parks on the general aviation side, which has a road and a lobby of its own. The confirmation names the building and the entrance.
- 02
Booked against the tail number
A charter run is arranged against the aircraft and the operator rather than a flight number. Ring the desk when the arrival hour changes.
- 03
A delegation and its staff on one reservation
A full aircraft rarely goes to a single address. Two destinations off the same arrival are quoted together rather than as two jobs.
- 04
Document boxes move at the steps
Where the operator and the ramp allow a vehicle out to the aircraft, cases and boxes go straight into the trunk, which is quicker and a good deal quieter.

Why be driven
How government travel is quoted
Nothing is published as a rate. Every trip is quoted by the hour for the whole vehicle, with the minimum stated up front, against the addresses and the hours the office describes.
By the hour, with the minimum stated first
A run between two addresses and a day with no known finish are quoted the same way: on the hours the vehicle is held, minimum in writing.
The figure covers the vehicle
A delegation of six divides one number rather than filing six separate claims.
What sets the hours
The drive and the stops first, then the class of vehicle, then the hour of the night an adjournment finally lands on.
Documentation on request
We can provide the documentation your office requires for a vendor file. Ask a coordinator. Nothing is claimed on this page about a registration, a certification or a contract.

The choice is headcount, luggage, and how long the vehicle has to stand somewhere doing nothing.

Cities where public sector travel starts
This is not only a capital city subject. County seats, campuses and regional offices generate as much travel as a session week does, and each card opens that city’s own page.
Pickup points are written out city by city on the service area hub.
The capital itself is covered on the home page, and the field that serves it has a page at Abraham Lincoln Capital.
Send a building and an hour in any of them and the quote takes the same shape.

What riders say
What riders tell us afterwards
Executive Transportation was easy to work with and very reliable. Our group of 7 needed a ride from Chicago O’Hare to Springfield. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. Our driver was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely hire them again.
The scheduling process was seamless, and the timely pickup from Bloomington airport made my journey stress-free.
Executive Transportation was incredibly responsive and was able to secure us a bus quickly.
A session day, an agency trip and a visiting delegation are one vehicle with a different calendar wrapped around it: corporate transportation.
Travel built around a flight runs through corporate airport transfers, and an association day with a hundred members through corporate event transportation.
Public sector questions
What arranging offices ask first
Written for whoever books the travel. No office, official or agency is named anywhere here.
Do you drive during session weeks in Springfield?
Yes, and it is regular work. Pickups run from the downtown hotels and from the buildings around the Capitol at whatever hour the floor lets out. Where the finish time is unknown, hold the vehicle for the block and it waits rather than leaving after the drop off.
Call (217) 523-5466 or send the hours.
Can the vehicle wait while a hearing runs long?
Yes, when it is held for the block. The chauffeur and the vehicle are held as directed, so the car is still at the entrance when the room finally empties. A minimum number of hours applies and is stated in the quote before anything is confirmed.
Can you provide paperwork for a vendor file?
Executive Transportation can provide the documentation your office requires for a vendor file. Ask a reservation coordinator which forms are needed and they will be sent. Nothing is claimed here about a registration, a certification or a contract, because that belongs with your purchasing office.
Ask a coordinator at (217) 523-5466.
How is discretion handled?
The passenger list stays with the desk that sent it. Chauffeurs are given an address, an entrance and an hour, not a reason for the trip. Nothing said inside a vehicle is repeated afterwards, no photographs are taken, and no rider is named to anybody outside the booking.
Ring (217) 523-5466 with anything specific.
Do you collect visiting delegations from the airport?
Yes, on scheduled flights and on charters. Each arrival takes its own vehicle and its own confirmation, and the group still leaves the hotel together the next morning. A charter is booked against the operator and the tail number instead of a flight number.
How is government travel priced?
By the hour for the whole vehicle, with the minimum stated up front, rather than a published rate. A run between two addresses and a day with no known finish are quoted the same way. The hours, the class of vehicle and how late the evening goes set the figure.
Request a Quote with the addresses.
Which vehicle suits a delegation of twelve?
A Sprinter van, which seats fourteen and has an aisle you can stand up in, with room for document cases as well as luggage. Above twenty-two the answer is a coach; below eight, a luxury SUV usually beats splitting the party across two cars.
Can you drive to a county seat three hours away?
Yes. A courthouse, a regional office or a campus several hours out is an ordinary booking, quoted from the hours between the addresses rather than from a zone map. Where the day ends somewhere else, the return leg is quoted with the outbound.
