Chicago Executive Airport (PWK) Car Service
No boarding passes, no baggage claim. Just the right building, and a car at the door.
Chicago Executive is a general aviation airport: corporate flight departments, charter operators and private owners, with three fixed base operators and no airline concourse anywhere on it. Executive Transportation meets the aircraft at whichever operator your flight uses, with a uniformed chauffeur and one quote for the vehicle.

Know the airport
What to know about Chicago Executive
Chicago Executive Airport, code PWK, sits in Wheeling and is jointly operated by the City of Prospect Heights and the Village of Wheeling. It describes itself as an airport for the corporate traveler and the recreational flyer, and it publishes no scheduled airline service. Everything that matters to a car happens at one of three fixed base operator buildings.
There is no passenger terminal here
Nothing about this field works like a commercial airport. There is no ticket hall, no security line and no baggage carousel. Passengers walk from the aircraft into an operator’s lounge and straight back out of the front door, which is where a chauffeur is standing. The whole handoff takes about as long as an elevator ride.
The airport wants you to know which operator you are using
Chicago Executive states plainly that the address on Plant Road is not where you should be dropped off or picked up, and that you need to know which fixed base operator your flight was booked through. Its main office cannot look that up for you: the company that arranged the flight has it. Pass it to us with the booking and the vehicle is at the right door.
Three operators, three different entrances
Atlantic Aviation is on Wolf Road. Signature Aviation and Ascension Global Aviation are both on Milwaukee Avenue, next door to one another. Two of the three publish round the clock staffing and customs on the field, which is what an international charter needs at an odd hour. The one you want is the one holding your flight.
Why executives use a field like this
Wheeling is close to the northern suburbs and the corporate corridor along Interstate 94, so a private arrival here can be in a meeting while an airline passenger is still walking a concourse. The ground leg is the only part left to arrange, and that is the part we do.
Operator names, addresses and the pick-up guidance were checked on the airport’s own site, chiexec.com, on September 17, 2026, and confirmed the same day on the operators’ own location pages. Operators change, so confirm with whoever arranged your flight before you travel.

Car to the ramp, wheels down to the car
Two short journeys with no terminal in either of them.
Departures
Your door to the aircraft
- Tell us the operator and the departure timeThe fixed base operator, the tail number and the time the crew wants you there. That is the whole booking, and dispatch holds the vehicle on it.
- Pickup is built backward from the crew’s timePrivate departures run on the operator’s schedule rather than an airline’s check-in advice, so we start from the time the crew gives you and work back, with a cushion for the run north.
- Bags in at your doorThe chauffeur handles luggage at both ends. Hard cases, sample kits and golf bags are worth mentioning when you book so the right vehicle turns up.
- Dropped at the door your aircraft is behindThe car stops at the door of the building your flight is using, not at an airline terminal. Where the operator allows vehicles on the ramp, the drop happens beside the aircraft instead.
Arrivals
Wheels down to the car
- Send the tail number and the operatorThose two details are what let a chauffeur be at the right building. If the flight plan changes, call dispatch: somebody answers at any hour of the night.
- The car is there before the aircraftOur chauffeur waits inside the operator’s lounge with your name, because a general aviation field has no arrivals hall to cross and no bags to hunt for.
- Bags at the aircraft where permittedIf the operator lets the vehicle onto the ramp, luggage goes straight from the hold into the trunk. If not, the transfer happens inside the building, which takes a minute longer and no more.
- Straight out to the meetingThere is nothing to clear on a domestic arrival, so most of our passengers are moving within minutes of the door opening. Customs is handled on the field for international flights by the operators that offer it.
Private jets and charter
Private jet and charter flights at Chicago Executive
This field is private aviation and nothing else, so everything here is built around the aircraft. Executive Transportation drives to all three operators, carries crew and passengers on one booking, and quotes the vehicle rather than the seat.
- 01
The FBO door is the pickup point
Your chauffeur is parked at the operator’s entrance with the vehicle details already sent to you. There is no terminal to name, no lane to find and no walk from a livery lot, because the building your aircraft parks behind is the building the car is standing at.
- 02
Ramp access where the operator offers it
Several operators here will pass a vehicle onto the ramp, which means bags move from the hold to the trunk without touching a lounge. Where ramp access is not offered, the handoff happens at the door and costs a minute.
- 03
Both halves of the aircraft on one booking
The crew needs a hotel and the passengers need an office, usually at the same moment. We take both on one reservation, in one vehicle or two, so nobody stands on a ramp waiting for a car to come back.
- 04
A Sprinter for the delegation
A full charter or a visiting delegation fits one Sprinter van, with room for hard cases and a stand-up aisle. Larger groups move to a coach. Either way it is a single quote for the vehicle.
The operators at Chicago Executive
- Atlantic Aviation1011 S. Wolf Road, Wheeling, Illinois 60090Open around the clock every day of the week by its own account, with customs on the field. The Wolf Road side of the airport.
- Signature Aviation1100 S. Milwaukee Avenue, Wheeling, Illinois 60090Also 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with onsite customs and secure ramp access. Milwaukee Avenue, a different entrance from Atlantic.
- Ascension Global Aviation1120 S. Milwaukee Avenue, Wheeling, Illinois 60090The third operator on the airport’s own list, next door to Signature on Milwaukee Avenue. Tell us which one your flight was arranged through.
Send the operator, the tail number and the hour the crew gave you, and call dispatch the moment any of it changes. The line is staffed around the clock, which is when flight plans tend to move. We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.

Why be driven
Four reasons to have the car waiting at Wheeling
Flying privately removes the airport from the day. The ground leg is what is left, and it is the part most likely to undo the time you just bought.
One quote for the vehicle
The vehicle and chauffeur are quoted by the hour, with the minimum stated up front, and a coordinator builds the hours around the expressway traffic. Five passengers off one aircraft ride on one figure.
The car is at the right building
Three operators means three entrances, and the wrong one costs the very minutes that flying privately bought. We take the operator name at booking so the vehicle is never guessing.
Rear seat time you can use
Calls, a briefing or a quiet hour before the meeting. The corridor north from Wheeling is not something you want to be steering through yourself.
Chauffeurs used to ramps
Our chauffeurs have worked general aviation pickups since 2004. They know how an FBO expects a vehicle to behave, and they arrive uniformed and early either way.
We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.
The fleet
Fleet for this run
Everything here is quoted for the vehicle, so the question is what the aircraft is carrying. Tell a coordinator the headcount and the number of cases and they will size it.

Where our Chicago Executive runs start
Executive Transportation drives to Wheeling from across Central Illinois and back again, on one quote for the whole vehicle. These are the cities the Chicago Executive work starts in most, usually because a company aircraft is doing the flying.
Each figure below is a clear-road drive to the airport. Book against the flight rather than the drive: we work the pickup backward from the time the crew gives you, and the northern suburbs run slow in the weekday peaks.
Each figure is a calibrated drive on clear roads, checked against Travelmath. Read them as a floor, not a promise. Pickups from Jacksonville, Lincoln, Taylorville and the towns along the way north are routine as well.
The quote is for the vehicle, whatever city it starts from.

Airport to airport
Popular transfers between Chicago Executive and other airports
Private flying and airline flying mix constantly: the aircraft brings you in, the ticket home leaves from somewhere else. We drive that leg in one vehicle and nobody repacks a bag.
Each card is the drive between Chicago Executive and the airport named, in either direction. Send both flight details and both scheduled times when you book, and call dispatch if either one moves.
Clear-road figures. The northern suburbs and the expressways are the variable they do not carry.
Both ends of the trip on one reservation, quoted by the hour as one vehicle.
What riders say
Three riders, three different runs
The scheduling process was seamless, and the timely pickup from Bloomington airport made my journey stress-free.
Our group of 7 needed a ride from Chicago O’Hare to Springfield. The vehicle was clean and comfortable.
Executive Transportation saved the day after another bus company fell through last minute.
Flight departments and the assistants who schedule them book these runs the way they book the aircraft, in advance and by the calendar. Our executive chauffeur service is built for exactly that habit.
When the aircraft is carrying a delegation rather than an executive, the ground side is handled as event transportation instead.
Chicago Executive questions
What people ask before booking a Chicago Executive car
The answers below use Chicago Executive’s own published guidance, read on chiexec.com in September 2026, and the operators’ own location pages.
Where does the chauffeur meet you at Chicago Executive Airport?
Executive Transportation meets passengers at the fixed base operator your flight was booked through, which is how the airport itself tells travelers to plan. Chicago Executive states that the address on Plant Road is not a pick-up or drop-off point. Give us the operator name at booking and the car is at that door.
Call (217) 523-5466 with the tail number and operator.
Do you pick up private jets and charter flights at Chicago Executive?
Private and charter flights are the only kind here, and Executive Transportation drives to all three operators on the field. We wait at the FBO entrance, load beside the aircraft where the ramp allows it, and carry flight crew and passengers on one booking rather than sending a second car.
Which fixed base operators are at Chicago Executive Airport?
Executive Transportation drives to all three the airport lists: Atlantic Aviation on Wolf Road, Signature Aviation on Milwaukee Avenue and Ascension Global Aviation next door to it. Atlantic and Signature both publish round the clock hours and customs on the field. The one that matters is the one holding your flight, so ask whoever arranged it.
Then call (217) 523-5466 and we will meet you there.
Does Chicago Executive Airport have airline flights?
Executive Transportation drives Chicago Executive as what it is, a general aviation airport in Wheeling for corporate, charter and private aircraft, with no scheduled airline service published anywhere on its site. If your ticket is with an airline, that flight leaves from another field, and we drive to those as well.
See the airports we drive.
Can you drive from Chicago Executive to O’Hare or Midway?
Executive Transportation runs Wheeling to either Chicago airline field, and back, as a single booking in one vehicle. It is a standard trip when the company aircraft brings a group in and the return is on a scheduled flight. Send both sets of flight details when you book so the timing holds.
Can you carry the flight crew as well as the passengers?
Executive Transportation carries crew and passengers on the same reservation, in one vehicle or in two, arranged by one coordinator. Crews usually want a hotel while the passengers want an office, and splitting that across separate bookings is what leaves somebody standing outside an FBO at midnight.
Ask about corporate airport transfers.
Which vehicle suits a private arrival at Wheeling?
Executive Transportation matches the vehicle to what the aircraft is carrying. Two passengers off a light jet ride in an executive sedan, five or six with hard cases take a luxury SUV, a full charter of fourteen fits one Sprinter van, and a visiting delegation of up to thirty-five takes a coach. Cases decide this more often than headcount does, so count them at booking.
Compare the full fleet.
How far ahead should a flight department book the car?
Executive Transportation prefers 72 hours’ notice for a Wheeling pickup and about a week when a coach is involved, but short-notice trips are worth a call: they depend on what is available. Dispatch answers 24 hours a day, which matters when a flight plan changes at nine at night.
Call (217) 523-5466 or request a quote.
