Burlington, Iowa · Chauffeured airport transfers
Burlington Airport (BRL) Car Service & Chauffeured Transportation
A hometown airport, and a black car that treats it like a hub.
Southeast Iowa Regional is small enough that the walk from the door to the counter is measured in steps, which is exactly why the ground half of the trip should be just as simple. Executive Transportation sends a uniformed chauffeur to your address, handles the bags, and does the same for a private flight at the FBO.

Know the airport
What to know about Southeast Iowa Regional
Southeast Iowa Regional Airport, code BRL, serves Burlington, West Burlington and Des Moines County out of one terminal building, with a general aviation operation on the same field. The airport calls itself a hometown airport and means it: short security lines, free parking and a phone call if your flight slips.
One commercial carrier, connecting through Chicago
The airport changed carrier in 2025 and now points travelers at Contour Airlines to book, connecting Burlington with Chicago. Almost every itinerary out of here is a connection beyond that, so the departure time is what a car booking has to respect.
The building is small, and that is the point
Security lines are short, parking is adjacent and free, and the staff call passengers personally when a flight is delayed. The airport even lists umbrellas at the counter on rainy days. There is no terminal maze to allow time for.
General aviation shares the field
Jet Air runs the general aviation side, from line service and maintenance through to executive charter and air ambulance work. If you are arriving on a private or charter aircraft, you will never enter the passenger terminal at all.
Terminal, parking, carrier and general aviation details checked on the airport’s own site, flybrl.com, on September 17, 2026. The airport is running a phased construction project, so check its notices before you travel.

Departures and arrivals at BRL
One door, two directions, and a vehicle that is at it either way.
Departures
Your door to the Burlington terminal
- Give a coordinator the flightThe Contour flight number and the time it is scheduled to leave. One terminal and one carrier means nothing else is needed to set the pickup.
- We work back from your connectionShort lines here do not help if the connection at the other end is tight. We set the pickup against your scheduled departure with the drive and a cushion in front of it.
- Bags handled at your addressLoading happens wherever you are standing, and the chauffeur does it. Tell a coordinator what is traveling with you, because checked bags are usually what decide between a sedan and an SUV.
- Dropped at the front of the buildingThe drop is at the front of the building, steps from the counter. The chauffeur stays with the vehicle while the luggage comes out.
Arrivals
Out of the terminal and on the road home
- The flight number is what holds the carThe flight number and scheduled arrival are what hold the vehicle. If the Chicago connection slips, call dispatch and the pickup moves with it.
- Collect the bags insideBaggage comes into the same small building you left from. Nobody is riding a train between concourses here.
- Met inside the Burlington terminal at the bag beltYour chauffeur meets you at baggage claim with your name, takes the luggage, and walks you out to the vehicle. Nobody in the party carries a case across the BRL lot.
- Late connections still get metThe last bank of the day is a common booking on a field this size. Dispatch is answered day and night, and the run is held against your flight.
Private jets and charter
Private jet and charter flights at Southeast Iowa Regional
A field this size does more general aviation than airline work, and Jet Air runs that side of it. Executive Transportation meets private, charter, air ambulance and corporate aircraft at the FBO, which is the whole trip for a lot of the people who land here.
- 01
Pickup at the FBO door
Private and charter arrivals come off the general aviation ramp, so the chauffeur waits at the FBO entrance rather than the passenger terminal. The aircraft blocks in and the car is already there.
- 02
Luggage loaded plane-side
Where the operator and the ramp allow it, bags go from the aircraft into the vehicle without an indoor leg. Where they do not, bags and passengers meet the car a few steps inside the Jet Air entrance.
- 03
Crew and passengers, both met at Jet Air
Flight crew heading to a hotel and passengers heading to a plant or a meeting travel on the same reservation, in one vehicle or two, with nobody left on the ramp.
- 04
A Sprinter for the delegation
Fourteen seats and room for hard cases take a whole aircraft load in one vehicle, and larger parties move to a coach. The quote covers the vehicle rather than the seat either way.

Why be driven
Four reasons to be driven to BRL
Parking is free and the lines are short, so nobody books a chauffeur here to beat the airport. They book one for the part of the trip the airport has nothing to do with.
One hourly figure for the Burlington run
The vehicle and chauffeur are quoted by the hour, with the minimum stated up front, so a coordinator plans the slow two-lane stretches into the hours. A party of four shares one vehicle, not four seats.
Nobody drives home at midnight
The last connection of the day lands late and the drive afterwards is the dangerous part of the trip. A chauffeur takes it instead.
The back seat counts as working time
Rear-seat time counts as working time for most of our riders, and as sleep for the rest. Either way somebody else is watching the road.
Uniformed chauffeurs since 2004
Airport work has been this company’s trade since 2004. The chauffeur turns up uniformed and early, at the terminal or at the FBO.
We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.
The fleet
Fleet for this run
Burlington transfers are quoted by the hour for the whole vehicle, so the question is only what the party and its luggage fit into. Headcount and bag count answer it.

Groups of 15 to 35
Association boards and conference parties. Shuttle coaches seat 22 to 35, limousine coaches 25 to 30.

Where our Burlington runs start
Executive Transportation drives to Southeast Iowa Regional from across Illinois, in both directions, on one quote for the whole vehicle. These are the cities the Burlington work comes from most, and each has a page of its own.
The times below assume clear roads the whole way to the terminal door. Book against the flight rather than the drive, because the connection beyond Chicago is what the pickup time really has to protect.
Calibrated clear-road figures, treated as the floor. We also collect from Macomb, Galesburg, Jacksonville and any address between them.
The vehicle carries one hourly figure, no matter which town it pulls out of.
Park or be driven
Park at BRL, or be driven to it
The airport gives its parking away, so this is not a comparison of tariffs. It is a comparison between your car sitting outside for a week and a vehicle that takes you home.
- Adjacent parkingFreeThe airport publishes free parking next to the terminal for short and long stays alike.
- If the flight slipsA phone callStaff call passengers personally when a flight is delayed, which is not something a garage does.
- On a wet dayAn umbrellaThe counter keeps them for the walk out, which tells you how short the walk is.
None of that covers the drive home after a late connection. See what a chauffeured transfer costs instead.

Airport to airport
Transfers between Burlington and other airports
When the fare or the schedule is better somewhere else, the honest answer is to drive to that field. Executive Transportation does it in one vehicle, with the luggage untouched.
Each card is the drive between Southeast Iowa Regional and the airport named, in either direction. Book it with the inbound and the outbound both written down, times included, and phone dispatch the moment either one changes.
Clear-road figures. The river crossings and the last stretch into Chicago are the variables.
The gap between two airports is one job, quoted by the hour like any other run.
What riders say

Burlington questions
What people ask before booking a BRL car
The answers below use the airport’s own published service and parking information, read on flybrl.com in September 2026, plus our own calibrated drive times.
Where does the chauffeur meet you at Southeast Iowa Regional?
Executive Transportation meets you inside the terminal at baggage claim, which at BRL is a few steps from the door you came in through. The airport is one small building with its parking beside it, so there is no garage level and no shuttle to ride. Your chauffeur takes the luggage off the belt and walks you out to the vehicle.
See how airport transportation works.
Is parking free at Burlington airport?
Yes. The airport publishes free parking adjacent to the terminal, and lists it alongside short security lines and personal phone calls when a flight is delayed. The cost it does not cover is the drive home after a late connection, which is the part a chauffeur takes off you.
Request a Quote and leave the car at home.
How far ahead should I book a car to BRL?
Executive Transportation prefers 72 hours’ notice for a Burlington transfer and about a week when the party needs a coach. Call anytime: short-notice trips depend on what is available. The flight, the headcount and the pickup address are enough to hold a vehicle.
Call (217) 523-5466 or request a quote.
What happens if my connection into Burlington is delayed?
Executive Transportation asks for a call to dispatch as soon as you have news. We hold the vehicle against the flight details you gave at booking instead of following a departure board, which is why a voice on the phone is what reschedules it. The line is open day and night.
Call (217) 523-5466 to move a booked pickup.
Do you pick up from private jets and charter flights at Burlington?
Executive Transportation drives the general aviation side of Southeast Iowa Regional as well as the terminal. We meet private, charter and corporate aircraft at the Jet Air FBO door, load plane-side where the operator allows it, and carry crew and passengers on one booking. A full cabin fits one Sprinter, with the cases stowed in the back.
Send the tail number when you book the chauffeur.
Can you drive to O’Hare or the Quad Cities instead?
Executive Transportation drives to the larger fields whenever the fare or the schedule makes more sense there, and those runs are quoted the same way as a local transfer. One vehicle, one chauffeur, and the bags stay exactly where you put them from the first door to the last.
See the airports we drive.
Which vehicle should a group book for BRL?
Executive Transportation puts two or three passengers in an executive sedan, five or six in a luxury SUV, fourteen in a Sprinter van and up to thirty-five on a coach. On a small field the luggage is usually what decides, so count the checked bags before you count the people.

Three things riders mention after a BRL run.
The late connection is covered
The last arrival of the day is the one nobody wants to drive home from. It is a normal booking for us, and dispatch is awake for it.
One hourly figure for the whole party
The vehicle and chauffeur are quoted by the hour, with the minimum written into the quote, so an Iowa snow squall is planned into the hours rather than argued about later. The party shares one vehicle.
Terminal or FBO, same chauffeur
Airline passengers are met inside at baggage claim and private flights at the Jet Air door. The standard does not change between them.
