The story
From one vehicle to a fleet on a public timetable
Two decades of chauffeured work, built one contract and one acquisition at a time.
- 2004
Executive Transportation opens
The company began chauffeured service in April 2004 with a single vehicle, running weddings and special events across Central Illinois.
- Growth
The Springfield Classic Limousine acquisition
Executive Transportation acquired Springfield Classic Limousine, a long established Springfield firm, which took the fleet from five or six vehicles to fifteen almost overnight. The Amtrak Thruway contract came with that acquisition.
- Service
A dedicated reservations desk
Bookings run through a dedicated reservations team that confirms every itinerary in writing, so each trip is planned before a vehicle is assigned.
- Today
Two operating facilities and a dispatch desk that never closes
The fleet operates out of the former E.W. Brown Motors dealership building in Jacksonville and a second facility and office in Springfield, under an on-site management team. Dispatch answers at two in the morning, because trips leave at two in the morning.
Every date above is from published interviews and public member listings. Where a year is not on the record, this page does not invent one.

How we work
How we work: four standards on every trip
Four standards every chauffeur and coordinator works to. Measure us against all of them.
We say 2:50 when we mean 3:00
The company standard: if we tell you we will be there at 3 p.m., we are there at 2:50. A chauffeur who is early has time to fix whatever the morning did.
You hear what is actually happening
We communicate with the drivers and the passengers and are honest about what is going on. Weather and a late aircraft are easier when nobody is guessing.
Who is driving you
Many of our chauffeurs are retired police officers, firefighters or veterans, and that is deliberate: they bring a higher level of situational awareness to trips into larger metropolitan areas.
One written figure, one vehicle
A trip is quoted in writing before it runs, and the figure covers the vehicle instead of the seat, so six people divide one number.
We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.

Request a QuoteDrive With UsThe Amtrak work
Every day of the year, the Amtrak Thruway coach
Amtrak Thruway is the connecting bus service that carries ticketed rail passengers where the rails do not go, and Executive Transportation is the operator listed on the Springfield to Peoria to Galesburg run.
What a Thruway connection is
The bus is part of the train ticket. Passengers board a coach, the coach meets a scheduled train at the far end, and the connection has to hold whatever the weather is doing.
Peoria and Galesburg, every day
The run goes north through Peoria to Galesburg and back, daily, on a published timetable. Per the 2023 interview, the company also runs a Jacksonville to St. Louis to Carbondale route.
Why a public schedule sharpens the private work
A coach that has to make a train connection every single day builds habits a private charter inherits: one dispatch desk, maintained coaches, and drivers used to a clock somebody else set.
Route, frequency and the operator name are read off the public Amtrak Thruway schedule; the company history is from The Source, November 2023. Group work sits on the charter bus page.

Airports have their own pages on the airports hub, the long runs are on the routes hub, and the states we cross are on the states page.

What riders say
What riders say about the company
Executive Transportation saved the day after another bus company fell through last minute. Executive Transportation was incredibly responsive and was able to secure us a bus quickly. Our driver Andrew arrived on time and got us safely to and from our event.
The scheduling process was seamless, and the timely pickup from Bloomington airport made my journey stress-free.
Our group of 7 needed a ride from Chicago O’Hare to Springfield. The vehicle was clean and comfortable.
Every review we have is on the reviews page, unedited, and none of them was written by us.
The business side of the work, boards, session days, conferences and plant tours, is on the corporate transportation hub.
About the company
What people ask about Executive Transportation
Questions about the company itself. Trip questions live on the service and airport pages.
What kind of company is Executive Transportation?
Executive Transportation is a chauffeured ground transportation company operating since April 2004. It runs executive sedans, SUVs, Sprinter vans and coaches from two Illinois facilities, with a dedicated reservations team, round-the-clock dispatch and uniformed chauffeurs on every single trip.
Reach the office at (217) 523-5466.
Where is Executive Transportation located?
Executive Transportation keeps two Illinois locations: the former E.W. Brown Motors dealership building in Jacksonville, and a second shop and office in Springfield. The work itself runs across Central Illinois and out to the airports and cities around it, so a vehicle comes to your address.
See the cities we cover.
How long has Executive Transportation been in business?
Since April 2004, which is more than twenty years of chauffeured work. It began with one stretch limousine doing weddings and special events, and the fleet now runs sedans, SUVs, Sprinters and coaches along with a daily Amtrak Thruway connection.
What areas does Executive Transportation serve?
Central Illinois first, plus the airports and cities beyond it in Illinois, Missouri and Indiana. Airport transfers, long runs between cities, hourly days and group coaches are all quoted the same way, whether the address is in a capital city or a village.
See the airports we serve.
Are your chauffeurs employees?
Our chauffeurs drive in uniform and many of them came out of police, fire or military careers, which is deliberate. How each chauffeur is engaged is not something this page publishes, because the honest answer depends on the person and the schedule. Ask the office and you will be told.
Call (217) 523-5466.
Do you run the Amtrak bus in Central Illinois?
Yes. Executive Transportation is the operator listed on the Amtrak Thruway connection that runs Springfield to Peoria to Galesburg every day of the year, and the company also runs a Jacksonville to St. Louis to Carbondale route. Those coaches are ticketed by Amtrak, not by us.
Charter one through charter bus and group travel.
Are you licensed and insured?
Executive Transportation is a commercial passenger carrier and carries the licensing and insurance that requires. We do not print certificate numbers or coverage figures on a web page, because they change and because your office will want the current documents rather than a screenshot of an old one.
Ask a coordinator for the documentation your office requires.
How do I book a ride?
Send the form on this page or call the office. Give us the pickup address, the destination, the date, the hour and the headcount, and a written figure comes back covering the whole vehicle. We prefer three days of notice and a week for a coach, and short notice depends on what is unbooked.
