Indianapolis, Indiana · Chauffeured airport transfers
Indianapolis Airport (IND) Car Service & Chauffeured Transportation
One terminal, two concourses, and a clock that is already ahead of yours.
Indianapolis is an easy airport to walk and a deceptively easy one to be late for, because the terminal keeps Eastern time and your calendar probably does not. Executive Transportation builds the pickup from the airport clock, sends a uniformed chauffeur to your door, and meets private and charter aircraft at the FBO instead of the terminal.

Know the airport
What to know about Indianapolis International
Indianapolis International Airport, code IND, puts everything in one building: the Colonel H. Weir Cook Terminal, with Concourse A and Concourse B branching off a central hall. The airport counts eleven airlines and nonstop flights to more than 40 destinations. Private and charter aircraft never see that building at all, because general aviation runs from its own ramp.
One terminal, two concourses, and a hall in the middle
There is no shuttle to learn and no second building to end up at. Ticketing sits at the front of the Weir Cook Terminal, Civic Plaza opens just beyond it, and Concourses A and B run off either side of the same secure hall. Baggage claim is downstairs. Tell a reservation coordinator the airline and that is genuinely all the geography anybody needs.
Departures are upstairs, arrivals are downstairs
The airport puts it plainly: departing passengers are dropped at the terminal door on the departures level, or escorted inside at the Ticketing Hall, and arriving passengers are met inside the terminal on the arrivals level. That split is the whole map of an IND transfer.
Chauffeured cars meet you in the Ground Transportation Center
This is the part worth reading before you land. Indianapolis states that shared ride and personal luxury limousine services are available in the Ground Transportation Center, located on the first floor of the garage as you exit the terminal. Rideshare uses the same floor. Taxis work differently, from their own stand on the lower level. Your chauffeur meets you inside at baggage claim, takes the bags, and walks you across, so nobody stands in the wrong place with a suitcase.
Eastern time is the detail that catches people
Marion County keeps Eastern time and Indiana observes daylight saving, so the gap never closes. An 8 a.m. boarding time in Indianapolis is a 7 a.m. event on a kitchen clock west of the state line. We set every pickup from the airport clock and we say so on the confirmation, which is why the question comes up on roughly every second booking.
Terminal, pickup and ground transportation details checked on the Indianapolis Airport Authority’s own site, ind.com, on September 17, 2026, along with the published parking rates. The airport revises these pages, so confirm anything time sensitive before you travel.

Departures and arrivals at Indianapolis
Up to the departures level on the way out, down to the garage floor on the way back in.
Departures
Your door to the IND departures level
- Give us the flight in Indianapolis timeAirline, flight number and the scheduled departure as the boarding pass prints it, which is Eastern. That one detail prevents the most common mistake on this run.
- We work the pickup backward from the airport clockThe terminal time comes from what your airline asks for, then the run itself, then a cushion. The arithmetic is laid out in our Indianapolis cost and timing guide.
- Bags at your doorThe chauffeur is out and loading before you reach the trunk, at a house, an office or a hotel portico.
- Departures level, at the Ticketing HallDeparting passengers are dropped at the terminal door on the departures level, or escorted inside at the Ticketing Hall. One building, so there is no terminal to get wrong.
Arrivals
The garage floor back to your door
- Send the flight number when you bookGive us the flight number and the scheduled arrival, and call dispatch if either moves. Somebody answers the phone at 2 a.m., which is when this matters.
- Collect your bags downstairsBaggage claim sits on the arrivals level, below ticketing, at the front of the same building you landed in.
- Met at baggage claim, then the Ground Transportation CenterIndianapolis puts personal luxury limousine services in the Ground Transportation Center on the first floor of the garage as you exit the terminal. Your chauffeur meets you at the carousel, takes the bags, and walks you across to the vehicle.
- Reset your watch on the way homeAn evening landing in Indianapolis is an hour earlier than it feels once you are west of the state line, so the ride home usually ends better than the schedule implies.
Private jets and charter
Private jet and charter flights at Indianapolis International
Indianapolis carries a great deal of corporate and charter traffic that never touches the Weir Cook Terminal. Executive Transportation drives the general aviation side of the field, so a private, charter or fractional arrival gets the same vehicle and the same uniformed chauffeur as a scheduled flight, at the FBO door.
- 01
Pickup at the FBO door
General aviation at Indianapolis runs through the fixed base operator, not the passenger terminal, so your chauffeur waits at the FBO entrance. No garage floor, no Ground Transportation Center, and no walk through a building you were never going to use.
- 02
Luggage loaded plane-side
Where the operator and the ramp allow it, bags move between the aircraft and the trunk with nobody carrying anything. Where they do not, the car is already at the FBO door and the handover happens there instead.
- 03
Crew and passengers on one booking
A flight crew needs a hotel and the passengers need an office, usually within the same half hour. We carry both on a single reservation, in one vehicle or two, without a crew waiting for a car to come back around.
- 04
A Sprinter for the whole delegation
A jet full of executives, a board, or a visiting delegation fits one Sprinter with room for hard cases and a stand-up aisle. Bigger parties move to a coach. Either way the quote covers the vehicle rather than the seat.
Where general aviation runs at IND
- Signature Aviation6390 Turner Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46241Signature says the Indianapolis facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which is what a charter landing at 3 a.m. needs from the car as well as the ramp.
Send the tail number, the operator and the scheduled arrival when you book, and call dispatch if it moves. The line is staffed at 3 a.m. as well as at noon. We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.

Why be driven
Four reasons to be driven to IND
Indianapolis is a pleasant airport to arrive at and a punishing one to leave your own car in when the departure is early enough to need Eastern time. This is what the chauffeur is buying.
One price, the entire vehicle
The vehicle and chauffeur are quoted by the hour, minimum stated up front, and a coordinator builds the hours around what I-74 is known for. Four colleagues on one flight share one figure, not four seats.
No lot, no shuttle, no second walk
The Economy Lot is cheap and it still means a shuttle at both ends, including the night you land. Your chauffeur loads at your door and stops at the departures entrance.
Somebody else holds the Eastern time math
Every Indianapolis pickup we set is written against the airport clock, not yours. That removes the single most common way travelers miss a flight out of IND.
Uniformed chauffeurs since 2004
Executive Transportation has been running the eastbound airport work since 2004. Chauffeurs arrive uniformed and early, and they know which floor of the garage the airport wants them on.
We prefer 72 hours’ notice, but call anytime. Short-notice trips depend on availability.
The fleet
Fleet for this run
Every Indianapolis transfer is quoted by the hour for the whole vehicle, so the only real question is which one your party and its luggage fit into. Give a coordinator both numbers.
Executive Sedan
One or two travelers with carry-ons. The default answer for a single executive on an early flight.

Luxury SUV
Five or six people and the bags a trunk will not take. Trade show cases, ski bags, a family flying out together.

Sprinter Van

Groups of 15 to 35
Conference blocks, association boards and visiting delegations. Shuttle coaches seat 22 to 35, limousine coaches 25 to 30.
Shuttle CoachLimousine CoachThe uniformed chauffeur is part of what you book, not an extra. A stretch limousine seats 8 to 10 for the arrival that is meant to look like one.

Where our Indianapolis runs start
Executive Transportation drives to Indianapolis International from across Central Illinois, in both directions, on one quote for the whole vehicle. These are the cities the Indianapolis work comes from most, and each one has a page of its own.
Every figure below is a clear-road drive to the Weir Cook Terminal. Give dispatch the flight rather than the drive: the pickup is built backward from a departure printed in Eastern time, which is an hour earlier than it reads at home.
The figures are calibrated for clear roads and cross-checked against Travelmath. Treat them as the floor. Champaign and Danville addresses sit closest of all, straight down I-74, and we collect from Terre Haute, Effingham and Mattoon-Charleston as well.
Wherever the run begins, the price is written against the car itself.
Park or be driven
Park at Indianapolis, or be driven to it
Indianapolis runs cheap lots by big airport standards, so the parking receipt is rarely what makes the decision. The mileage underneath it usually is.
- Cheapest official lot$9Per day in the Economy Lot, with a shuttle to the Ground Transportation Center at both ends of the trip.
- Terminal Garage$23Per day on the decks joined to the terminal, or $32 a day for valet on the garage level nearest the walkway.
- The drive itself$313.12A Springfield round trip of 412 miles at the IRS business rate of 76 cents a mile, before anybody parks anything.
Six days in the Economy Lot on top of that mileage is about $367, and none of it counts the eight or nine hours behind the wheel. Read the full cost breakdown.
Get a quote for the whole vehicleParking rates from ind.com, checked September 17, 2026. The 412-mile Indianapolis round trip is worked at 76 cents a mile, the irs.gov business rate from July 1 to December 31, 2026. Our own side is quoted by the hour with a minimum stated up front, so the figure for your run comes from a coordinator rather than a table.

Airport to airport
Popular transfers between Indianapolis and other airports
Fares and schedules do not respect state lines. When the onward flight leaves from a different field, Executive Transportation drives the gap in one vehicle and the luggage never changes hands.
Each card is the drive between Indianapolis and the airport named, in either direction. Send both flight numbers and both scheduled times when you book, and call dispatch if either moves.
Clear-road figures. The Ohio River crossings and the Chicago approach are the two that run long.
Two airports, one reservation, and the vehicle priced once.
What riders say
Three riders, three different runs
Executive Transportation saved the day after another bus company fell through last minute.
The scheduling process was seamless, and the timely pickup from Bloomington airport made my journey stress-free.
Our group of 7 needed a ride from Chicago O’Hare to Springfield. The vehicle was clean and comfortable.
Indianapolis is a working airport for our riders: conferences at the convention center, plant visits and client meetings that repeat every quarter. Corporate airport transfers are arranged one trip, one team or one travel calendar at a time.
Agency staff and legislative delegations traveling east book their Indianapolis runs through our government travel service.
Indianapolis questions
What people ask before booking an IND car
The answers below use the Indianapolis Airport Authority’s own published guidance, checked on ind.com in September 2026, plus the calibrated drive times we quote from.
How far ahead should I book a car service to Indianapolis?
Executive Transportation prefers 72 hours’ notice for an Indianapolis transfer, and closer to a week when the party needs a coach. Call anytime: short-notice trips depend on vehicle availability, and the pre-dawn departures fill first. Give a coordinator the flight, the airline and the headcount, and the vehicle is held.
Call (217) 523-5466 or request a quote.
Is Indianapolis in a different time zone?
Executive Transportation treats this as the first fact of every IND booking. Marion County, Indiana keeps Eastern time, and Indiana observes daylight saving, so the airport sits an hour ahead of Illinois all year. A flight boarding at 8 a.m. in Indianapolis boards at 7 a.m. on your own clock. We schedule from the airport clock.
See the Indianapolis timing guide.
Where does the chauffeur meet you at Indianapolis International?
Executive Transportation meets arriving passengers inside at baggage claim on the arrivals level. The airport states that shared ride and personal luxury limousine services are available in the Ground Transportation Center, on the first floor of the garage as you exit the terminal, so your chauffeur takes the bags at the carousel and walks you across to the vehicle.
See how airport transportation works.
What happens if my flight into Indianapolis is late?
Executive Transportation asks for a phone call the moment Indianapolis changes your arrival. We hold the vehicle against the flight number and scheduled arrival you gave us at booking rather than watching the schedule ourselves, so the call is what moves the pickup. Somebody answers 24 hours a day, including the middle of the night.
Call (217) 523-5466 to move a booked pickup.
How is the price for an Indianapolis car service set?
Executive Transportation quotes the vehicle and chauffeur by the hour, with a minimum number of hours stated up front in the written quote. The number follows the hours an Indianapolis run takes door to door, then the vehicle class. One quote covers the whole vehicle, so a project team of six shares a single figure.
Request a Quote with your dates.
Which vehicle should a group book for Indianapolis?
Executive Transportation runs executive sedans for two to three passengers, luxury SUVs for five to six, Sprinter vans for fourteen and coaches for parties up to thirty-five. Checked luggage usually decides it before headcount does, so tell a coordinator how many bags are traveling as well as how many people.
Compare the full fleet.
Do you pick up from private jets and charter flights at Indianapolis?
Executive Transportation drives the general aviation side of Indianapolis International as well as the Weir Cook Terminal. We meet private, charter and fractional aircraft at the FBO door, load luggage plane-side where the operator allows it, and carry flight crew and passengers on one booking. A Sprinter takes a full delegation.
Send the tail number when you book the chauffeur.
Is it worth parking at Indianapolis instead?
Executive Transportation will tell you plainly that the Economy Lot at $9 a day is good value for one traveler on a short trip. It stops being the cheap answer once three people ride, the trip runs past four days, or the departure is early enough that somebody is driving east in the dark.
Compare both in the cost breakdown.

Three things riders tell us made the difference on an Indianapolis run.
The quote is written for the car
Quoted by the hour with the minimum stated up front, so a slow stretch of interstate is planned into the hours. A group of six shares one figure.
The Eastern time math is ours
Every pickup is written against the airport clock and confirmed that way, which is the mistake this run punishes hardest.
Dispatch answers day and night
Early departures and late landings are most of this work, and somebody picks up the phone at both ends of them.
